Extremely comfortable beds - it is rare for me to fall asleep in a hotel during just one overnight stay.
Nicely rich, good weighted duvet and high-quality mattresses meant we fell asleep quickly and had a refreshing rest. No wonder this pace is a hit with bicycle riders, the plaque said, a winner of "Bike and Bett" awards. We were chaperoned to our rooms, which were ultra clean, fresh and pleasant. I am so glad I chose this place. Breakfast was exactly what you needed: nice variety and topped up timely by a caring staff. No doubt I would return.

The place is nicely decorated and has very positive vibes. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean, with necessary toiletries. The host was friendly and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant one night stay on my hiking trip.

Nice place to stay near Trier (which was our target), in the vicinity of a splendid lake. Room with nice aspect and good facilities. Very clean and cosy. Good breakfast. Parking at the property available. This time we wanted a transit place, but it looks very promising to spend there a couple of days to relax. The owner is a very nice person. You can buy some types of local wines from him at fair prices, just living the money in a dedicated place.
This charming, 3-star hotel and vineyard, built on the foundations of an old Roman mill, offers peaceful accommodation in Mertesdorf, just 8 kilometres outside the ancient city of Trier.

Decor excellent. Wines and lovely quiet setting. Would return again and again
This hotel is quietly located next to the Moselle River in the wine-growing town of Trittenheim. The Hotel Krone Riesling offers a beautiful garden terrace.

Rooms were big, bright, clean and with all that you need. The restaurant is also very good. Pillows could be better but I think that's the typical ones all hotels use in that area
Great location on the Moselle River.
Good for hiking and biking along the river or through the vineyards.
But it lacks the picturesque looks of some of the more famous Moselle towns. Although it is much much quieter if you want to avoid the crowds.
Close enough to historic Trier which is easily rachable bicycle or car.
Albeit there’s no bicycle hire placee in town at the time of writing. The closest cycling shop is in Schweich.

Mehring is a little village at the Mosel river with an ancient Roman villa, catholic church, a few restaurants and little shops. There also are a bakery, small supermarket, and off course: a lot of wine shops. Mehring is a strategic place for people who like to explore the Mosel region; between Bernkastel-Kues and Trier

Cute town with some restaurants and bars.
Cute town with some restaurants and bars. It has a supermarket with a bakery inside but the town has its own bakery as well. All in all a nice quiet little town. You do need a bike or car to get to sightseeing places. In the direct vicinity there are some Roman ruins. Also from the riverside there are multiple paths for taking long hikes.

nice and typical for a mosel village with many possibilities . Not many " organised day tourists". A calm and somewhat cosy community with great nature for walking and cycling like as the hochwald, the small mountains nearby and the old roman town of trier; many wineyards and eay walking alongside the mosel river.
there are not only some hotels and restaurants but all you need for cooking yourselves : bakery, butcher, stores...
Great place when you want to discover excellent Mosel wines, not far from the historic city of Trier that is worth visiting. Small family hotel with the restaurant, the owner has his own wines and sells it for very reasonable prices. Clean rooms. Friendly service. The evening menu in the restaurant is rather basic, but you will be compensated by fabulous Riesling wines, not only dry, but also semi-dry and sweet. Great breakfast. Parking opposite the hotel across the street.
This hotel exceeded our expectations; we booked this for an overnight stay on the way home. We had a balcony with a view of the Moselle. The room was large and very clean. The restaurant was exceptional with an outside terrace overlooking the Moselle, the food was very good, freshly cooked, you could see the chef in the kitchen, plentiful and not too expensive and the beer was wonderful, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Once we had paid for the 5 nights €750 we were given a breakdown of the cost for the room which was €600 and then breakfast was €150 for both of us which equated to €15 each per day for breakfast. What was laid on was not worth £15 euros each so although the Hotel was lovely I would suggest not ordering breakfast and buy your own things to eat instead as there is fridges available in the rooms.
It was great to have an apartment close to the pool which is small but has a nice view. The aparthotel only has 10 appartments so it is quiet - great to relax. The wine in the room is really good! Appreciated the complementary mineral water bottles as well. The appartments have floor cooling, which was great with 30+ degrees outside.
Views from the room were over the Moselle. Outside space with a gas barbecue, sun loungers and furniture, well equipped kitchen and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Very friendly hosts. Ebike hire at the hotel €49 per day. The bikes are automatic transmission and require minimum effort going up hills
Good breakfast with quality selection food - fresh just baked warm bread (what more could you possibly want for your breakfast?). Welcoming and friendly staff. Relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Good parking. The location itself is just perfect for hotel and restaurant. Highly recommended.
Our family enjoyed this hotel and the restaurant so much! Everything from the friendly staff, the triple room itself with a nice view of the river, and the breakfast was great. Will definitely recommend this place without hesitation!
Nicely renovated rooms, very pretty view and very lovely staff. The restaurant in the hotel offers a great selection of dinner options. In the morning, they serve very tasty breakfast and excellent service.
Excellent dinner and breakfast and provide gluten free bread go me.
