The 2 bedroom apartment was very comfortable and a large space, with everything we needed for our stay . The location was fantastic with water views and conveniently central to alot of the places we wanted to visit in the region.
The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.
Very handy to have a washing machine and clothes line aswell.
The hosts were very friendly and even had some home made cake for us, which was delicious.
10/10 would definitely recommend and stay again.

Port Huon as the gateway to Bruny Island was good.
Port Huon as the gateway to Bruny Island was good. What is bad is the booking.com, which is an American multi-national ripping off locals. They should stop stealing from tourists by getting them to do reviews for free.

Quaint township, perfectly situated to explore the whole Huon Valley and further south.
We had great meals at the Kermandie Hotel, which had a variety of vegetarian meals.
Favourite spots were Cygnet, there is a great book shop and alternative shop, Huonville, busy but has a variety of op shops and cafes, and further down south at Dover and Southport, where there are great fishing spots and camping areas.

The Kermandie is a nice place to stay in this area for a family of three. Would only recommend that the main bed be updated as it was not a restful sleep due to the springs in the mattress. Also our room must of been above the kitchen in which they had quite loud music playing in the afternoon and during service but then thank fully stopped of a night time.

Good location in that it was close to a larger centre (...
Good location in that it was close to a larger centre (Huonville) whilst only 5 minutes or so from Geeveston (with a very good butcher and sushi [available at the weekends]) and Franklin with its restaurants, especially Osteria.
The problem is the lack of footpath type space so walking on a main road could be hazardous.
The Kermandie Hotel was a fabulous stay only downside was there for one night only. Meeting Michelle at the front desk with a warm welcome was a lovely beginning, the unit was extremely clean, very comfortable bedding, lounge area and heating excellent. Had planned to dine at their onsite restaurant and was not disappointed, all meals were a high standard and delicious. The included continental breakfast the next morning was a great start to the day, more than sufficient for our needs. Beautiful hotel, highly recommend it.
Excellent location for visiting Hartz Mountain National Park. This is a beautiful old hotel well furnished and decorated. We enjoyed dinner both nights in the bar restaurant and the free continental breakfast is amazing, superior to what one might expect. I was happy they had not only gluten free bread available but also several gf cereals. The breakfast room looks out on a beautiful view of the water.
Nice view from main window. Very clean. Great water pressure, especially the shower, and easy parking right outside. Gave heaps of milk for hot beverages, which is a deficit in many hotels/motels. Breakfast in the main building, good time frame and variety. Nice evening dinners, lots of vegetarian dishes to choose from. Thank you!
The Kermandie was a cosy and charming place to stay. The rooms and common areas were tastefully appointed and all amenities were as advertised. Dinner at the bar downstairs was delicious and staff were helpful and friendly. Overall The Kermandie offered excellent value for money and was a great launchpad for exploring the Huon Valley.
The entire hotel was charming and comfortable, felt immediately at home. We had a group of 5 of us, so we got multiple rooms. We had dinner at the restaurant as well, very happy with the food (veggie portions could have been larger). Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast bar was elite.
Port Huon was an ideal location to explore the south eastern area of Tasmania. The managers were friendly and the cottages were clean and had extra items in the kitchen - glad wrap, pepper, salt.
While travelling from interstate it is very handy to have items like these supplied.
The cabin was set out well with all we needed. View looking onto the bay was great. Close to Kermandie Hotel where we went for a lovely meal & Geeveston only a 5 minute drive for anything last minute that we had forgotten to pack.
fantastic location in Port Huon. Beautiful cabin and so clean, everything you would want
host very friendly and happy lady. nice spot to sit on the verandah and watch the world go by, amazing vista
couldn’t fault it
Views from the hotel are great. Nice bar. Food was good!
Despite the dated bathroom and kitchen, it was very clean and everything worked as it should. (We were in a unit, not in the main hotel building).
The room was so lovely very comfortable and so clean, but above all the staff were so very helpful which made the time at the hotel so very enjoyable. Breakfast overlooking the marina was a highlight.
Great location for exploring the region. Accommodation clean and comfortable and provided the things we needed in the kitchenette. Great food at the hotel and very friendly and welcoming staff
Neat and tidy room which was a good size. The hotel was lovely and the continental breakfast was a good selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great location with a lovely view.
Really enjoyed the chai black rice pudding. Because it was Easter stayed close to home for meals including breakfast. Very handy location to experience the Huon Valley
Room was spacious, clean and wonderful views. We had a 2 bedroom and the Hotel is going through some renovations at the moment but that did not affect our stay.
