Moruya Motel, hotel in Moruya

Offering free WiFi and free onsite parking, Moruya Motel is located just 1 km from Moruya’s town centre, and 1.5 km from the Moruya River.

Great location with extensive grounds just minutes out of town. On the highway but the traffic noise was not intrusive. The new management were very friendly and helpful with check in and advice for where to eat. Plenty of parking right at the door for the room made loading / unloading simple. Air con in the room worked nicely.

The room I was assigned in did not have enough sound proofing, it was noisy. The air freshner was strong, I turned it off and I opened the window for a long time. The check in instructions were easy to follow.

The cabin was accommodating for our family sleep wise.

The cabin was accommodating for our family sleep wise. The floor in cabin was extremely dirty and oily we had to wear socks walking around to avoid black feet. The shower was extremely hard to get into as you had to climb into the spa bath tub and there were no hand rails to assist you with this. There wasn't enough cooling in the cabin 1 fan and 1 small air-conditioner which had difficulties with the 38 degree heat. The porch needs a gate at top of stairs to make safer for smaller children. TV needs updating or chrome cast abilities. The roads around the park need fixing huge amount of pot holes. My family loved the residential possums that came and ate fruit from their hands and that sat with us on porch.

It is really easy to get around town, there is a pedestrian 4 block precinct of 30kph, we rode our bikes without vehicle concerns. Lots of parking. The town is situated on a river and Riverside Park is a pleasant location with markets on Saturday mornings. Good coffee in town: Health Food Cafe, Tukka, Alfresco, Grounded and more. Enjoyed the BAS Art Gallery, entry is through the library. A selection of eateries, we ate a good meal at the Adelaide Hotel, a drink at the Waterfront Hotel at sunset, watching the sun set behind the mountains (so relaxing) and then on to the Air Raid Tavern for a classy wine and cocktail. All within walking distance !

Moruya has beautiful river views, with lots of birdlife. Ideal for fishing and water sports. We enjoyed a lunch at The River Restaurant. A good supermarket in town, and a variety of shops. Easy to travel and explore nearby towns. There is a history to be explored too in the town.

    Nice place to visit.

Nice place to visit. Plenty to do, right on the river and close to beaches. The Moruya Country Markets is worth a stroll around. Enough restaurants and takeaways to satisfy people’s liking. I did enjoy The Legacy of India's food and morning coffee from Alfresco Coffee Roasters. The place to go for ice cream or super thick shakes is Moruya Ice Cream Café. They also do great meals and excellent coffee.

When we arrived to check in the staff couldn't find the key.

When we arrived to check in the staff couldn't find the key. I had to wait about 15 minutes for a key. They were disorganised and noone seemed to know what they were doing. Eventually they gave me a spare key. They even told me they were booked out so could not give me another room. As far as I was aware I was expecting to pay on arrival and when I suggested I cancel my booking I was told that I had already been charged!! When we arrived back from soccer that evening there were no car parks and it was raining. I would have thought that paying accommodation customers would have been priority for the car parks. We did not sleep easy that night knowing that the key was out there somewhere!!

Location by mangroves by end of river. Surf beach unpatrolled, unswimmable and dangerous. Is a caravan park with demountable cabins that sweltered in the sun, not maintained well, rusty and rotting Timbers, paths not raked or swept, broken items in the kitchen, go karts are pedal bikes and rusted and old, games room is an old shed, there’s nothing that resembles a resort there whatsoever.

The property was good value for money and a minutes walk to the hotel for dinner. The check in was simple and very friendly. The room was basic and clean and value for money. Dinner was very yummy and 4 klgs of pork sausages were bought by me the next day after tasting the bangers and mash my husband had for dinner. Good restaurant.

The room was nice and spacious, with beautiful decor and a very comfy bed. All the rooms look out onto the Moruya River, which is stunning. There is a shared common area with a kitchen and proper coffee machine, great for longer stays. The owner is easy going and friendly, the kind of welcoming stay you get in small coastal towns.

Staff/owners were so friendly and accommodating. Such a beautiful relaxing place. Gardens were well maintained, even though the rain had delayed the mowing of the lawns. The place gave off a peaceful serene feeling. The hotel rooms were cosy and showers were just what was needed after a full day of sightseeing and fishing.

Loved the character of the old building. the rooms were big and comfy! great value for money and friendly staff. Have a drink downstairs in the pub and play a game of pool, and make sure you visit the air raid tavern and get a feed at chez dominique. Great weekend away! Will stay again!

Luhana Motel was fine. A bit run down. Needs painting and maintenance. Not ace quality. The staff were friendly. We had a large.room with one double bed and two single beds. The sofa was very old and too soft to sit on. The room was okay .The water in the shower was lovely and hot.

A very nice beach very in a very short distance, hot spa, quiet, clean, friendly staff, good playground. The downside was there is no dining place or coffee shop whatsoever, need to drive to Moruya but it's probably good as it makes the place even quieter.

Ingenia Moruya has a wonderful riverside location adjoing pastures with a walk across the bridge to Moruya town. I have enjoyed staying in the riverside villas, but you can also stay affordably in cabins or camp. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
