The staff at reception and in the restaurant were great - polite, friendly, speak good English. The double bed was large and very comfortable. The dinner was tasty with some unusual choices and very attractively presented. Buffet breakfast was good. This is a comfortable easy stay for walkers right on GR 65.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, located in the center of old town. The building itself is in a medieval setting but with all the modern equipment and facilities you expect in a 4 star hotel. I stayed in many hotels in various european cities, most of them are modern and stylish but this hotel in Figeac carries a piece of history which elevates to another level of luxury.

The room is beautiful in a magnificent old building. It is recently and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed and an excellent bathroom. The breakfast was copious and delicious. The situation in the wonderfully preserved old town of Figeac is magical. Madame is charming, helpful and discreet.
Where we stayed was a restored castle. It was wonderful inside. The staff were very helpful. The part of town we stayed in was quaint and very walkable. I would have loved to stay longer. We ate at a small Crepery that was right around the corner. You have to be there early and make reservations. We did it online and almost didn't get in. The food was good.

I have stayed in Mercure hotels before and not been impressed but this excelled itself with their outstanding staff performance, incredible garden courtyards, architecture (1188), interiors and lovely small pool. Their location was hard to beat too - right next to the main square.
My room was 207 looking into the courtyard garden and fountain.
It was actually excellent value when I compare it to other accomm bookings on my trip.
If you have a couple of days in Figeac, I would recommend a stay here.

An old town with friendly people.
An old town with friendly people. Ample facilities listed below, albeit I don’t remember names of places where we ate and shopped.
Walking the often narrow lanes are interesting, as is the whole place.
Only criticism is the lack of parking space unless you walk about a kilometre uphill. Typical of old towns in Europe.

We liked the old city center with beautiful ancient buildings. We were disappointed in the restaurants - despite a high number of them, they did not offer a good selection for a dinner, rather lunchtime places and/or bars. The Musee Champollion was interesting.

Figeac is one of the small towns in the center of France...
Figeac is one of the small towns in the center of France with a long history behind. The town center and the old houses are unfortunately occupied by squats and too many men with dogs are sitting around at the corners of the historic center.
Another very disturbing point: If you want to park your car on one of the outdoor parking areas, you'll have to download first the special app required to get in and out, and then, submit your @ and the data of your bank account. Hackers just have to clear up.
But...there are also very nice hotels and guest rooms, half a dozen of good restaurants where the landlords and cooks are doing their best.
By the end of August, it will be hard to get a table during the week, because except the weekends they are closed.
Everything about this property was of high quality. Caroline, the owner and hostess extremely welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Bed exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast tasty and plentiful. Proximity to city centre and restaurants an easy walk. A friendly dog to pat and chat with if so inclined. We really and truly enjoyed our stay, thank you Caroline. Would love to return again to your chateau and beautiful Figeac.
Everything! One of the finest places we have ever stayed at. Staff were very friendly. There was so much of history to see within the walls of the hotel, it was so fascinating! We were sad we didn’t book a table at the hotel’s restaurant, it looked amazing out on the courtyard. The room was stunning, though you have to like that particular kind of decor. Biggest television I have ever seen in a hotel room!
Such a beautiful hotel with incredible atmosphere. Professional and kind staff. They saw I was working on my French and offered to conduct the check-in in French which I enjoy for practice. First rate breakfast. I love the courtyard isn’t totally sealed off from the outside world. Fantastic value in my book for a truly elegant and top hotel stay.
Lovely tranquil place to relax after a long journey, surrounded by nature. The hot tub was a gift from above. Only wish we’d had more time to enjoy the location more thoroughly. Within walking distance of Figeac which appears to be a beautiful old town (We only had time for a quick breakfast in the town square)
This is an older hotel. We stayed at a Chabre d' Oht separate building. The room was clean. The beds were adequate, there was internet with descent wifi speed, shower was good, and the lady at the reception very kind and accomodating. Location is slightly out of tve tiwn center but not by much. Good overall.
Its quiet and well located. Very charming boutique hotel with a lovely garden and most welcoming, accommodating, and friendly staff. Breakfast was the best of our entire trip so far. Would definitely recommend to walkers and tourists alike.
I liked the location and the coziness of the house. You really feel like you are in the medieval ages, being surrounded by the beautiful town of Figeac. I was enchanted by the town and the beautiful museum about the writings. A must see !
The hotel is located near the centre of Figeac, just opposite the river. Having a direct view on the river (seeing the herons and hearing the ducks) from the balcony is a treat. The surroundings are quiet, very relaxing.
Good value hotel in an excellent location, just a short walk from the old part of Figeac - a lovely small town in a beautiful area. Big free parking area adjacent to the hotel. Very friendly welcome from Celine.
This hotel is in a great location alongside the river. We had a balcony affording lovely views.
Spacious, comfortable room, tea and coffee
making facilities. Friendly, welcoming staff.
We hope to return.
The owner was so nice and kind and very welcoming. The location is great and the room was clean and spacious. We had a wonderful stay as we passed through Figeac on our way to Santiago de Compostela.
