We stayed in the La Maison rooms, which are a short walk from the main hotel. The hotel in perfectly located near Place D' Quebec for D-day and Mont St. Michel tour meeting place. The breakfast was standard European hotel breakfast, nothing special. It was warm and plentiful. The coffee from a machine was good, not great. We arrived before our room was ready so they kept our luggage in reception, and it was in out room when we checked in. Thank You.

Host or concierge did not show up with key. Had difficulty finding which unit it was and only deduced it by looking at several photos. Cheap furnishings. Cleaning materials inside shower. Patio/terrace unusable and unsafe.

I am trying to update my review of La Cour Royale but the site is not letting me. I answered no breakfast - this was an answer to a Booking.com question and not a put down on the accommodation - it was a flat and I did not expect breakfast. I also put a rating of 5 out of ten for staff because this was a flat and I didn’t expect staff! I hope this clears this up. It was an excellent place to stay and would like to again.

The city is beautiful and easy to get around in by foot. We enjoyed seeing the Cathedral and The Tapestry as well as a couple restaurants and an awesome pastry shop.
Taxi service is limited (allow plenty of time to await a taxi). Uber service did not exist.

Bayeux is a lovely town and very central to all of the D Day beaches and many other interesting places related to WW2.
The town is not too big so a lot can be seen in a reasonable space of time.
The British memorial cemetery there is one of the most poignant I visited.

Our tour of the D. day beaches was very interesting and moving. The Norte Dame Cathedral de Bayeux was a highlight of the city as well as the tour of the Tapestry. Restaurants were all outstanding. We would love to go back.
Upon arriving, we found the Hotel under construction and we were accommodated at their sister property the Belle Normandy. The same ownership has both hotels. We were treated like royalty. The rooms were large and brand new. The breakfast was excellent and the staff helped us a lot. We do not speak French and they helped a ton. we went to restaurants they recommended and had wonderful dinners. They helped us set up a tour of the Battle Fields and made sure we were comfortable at all times. No question we would go back to this same property.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel while visiting Normandie. Selma and Gregory were exceptionally welcoming, the hotel is charming and comfortable, a mix of modern amenities in an historic French chapel complex set in the heart of lovely Bayeux. The attached cafe, called Selma Alabama, serves coffee, pastries and a delicious breakfast, also recommended. A great assortment of brasseries surround the hotel for plenty of dinner options and there are great shopping options nearby as well. I would return here if traveling to Normandie.
First off, the newly-renovated and slightly modern facilities, the light streaming in the spacious modern bathroom,, the view from the bedroom window of the chateau and the gorgeous room all made our stay the best of our one month in France. So peaceful, in comparison to busy Bayeaux. The owners were so cool, raising their enfants while managing all aspects of the business. I hated to leave…it’s a 10 for sure! Enjoyed dinner late our front of the chateau and food was good. Breakfast was delectable. I’m coming back!
Sick of cheap stays at F1 Hotels or similar? U are on a tight budget and looking for a decent base to explore Normandy with a decent hostel flair? Pick this place - clean shared rooms, bathrooms and restrooms. Large lockers (you can fit people inside, you are also getting a lock) Calm location, safe & free parking in inner courtyard, only a few minutes walk from the center of Bayeux (supermarkets, restaurants, fast food...). Well, I think the pictures tell a thousand words. Nice staff :)
Family run boutique hotel in a good location. Reasonable breakfast although the breakfast room is small and crowded when the hotel is full. The staff is personable and tries to be helpful. It seems they are presently trying to market themselves as a spa but when we booked, we it was advertised as a tourist hotel and we thought it would be a good base for travel with children in the Normandy region because it has a pool. Pool was small and children were not encouraged to be in it.
This was a fantastic location in Bayeux, staff were so friendly and accommodating, attached restaurant has great breakfast value option and decent for other meals, the room we were given (33?) was huge with sitting area, large bathroom, balcony, quietly located across street, and made for a perfect several night stay! After walking around Bayeux, we highly recommend this hotel for comfort, accessibility to pick up spots for tours, and the town in general.
The Au Loup Historic Apartments are located near the town centre of Bayeux in a lovely neigborhood. You can park free in the street if there is a parking spot available. The apartments are clean and well-equipped. We choose the a breakfast basket and we absolutely loved it. We never met our host in person but he provided us all the informations that we needed for our short stay. We really loved both the town and the apartment. Thank you very much!
Our room was of a particularly high standard, with all the mod-cons you would expect.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Secure private parking.
Set close to the town centre all the amazing attractions are within easy walking distance.
Made use of the pool and jacuzzi which was a bonus after a long day travelling.
If you plan to visit Bayeux, book this hotel, you won't be disappointed.
The renovated farm is a wonderful place to base one’s exploration of this part of Normandy. Very close to Bayeux with the cathedral, tapestry and museum but also close to teh D-Dat beaches and Caen. Very spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, spacious showers, good lighting and charging facilities beside bed and an extensive breakfast buffet. Charming hosts
Beautiful and Cozy apartment in the heart of Bayeux!
Really comfortable, practical, clean and well kept.
Merwen is an amazing host, checking we were fine since our arrival and loved the bottle of cider left for us!
If you are looking for an amazing holiday in Normandy, this is place you need.
We will go back for sure!!!
Absolutely beautiful park like environment with wonderful staff with lovely rooms. Excellent restaurant and comprehensive breakfast offerings if you choose.
We were delighted to come home every day after spending time in the fascinating Normandy area. This hotel more than met our expectations, and we would gladly return.
My husband and I stayed at Villa Lara during our time in Normandy. Everything about this hotel is excellent. We will be returning to Normandy in the future and this will be the only place that we will stay. The hotel is beautiful, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.
A very clean and comfortable house. The location is excellent not only for exploring Bayeaux but other sites in Normandy such as the Landing Beaches. It is only a 10 minute walk into town centre so great for shopping and restaurants and there is a great Supermarket at the end of the road
Location was great. Room, while small, was comfortable & clean. Simon at reception is your best asset. He couldn’t have been more helpful. Food at your restaurant was really good. All in all, a good place to stay in Bayeux. Would recommend your hotel to friends.
The rooms were very basic, but for the price you can'y complain. Location excellent for doing the D Day sights and museums. Bayeux is beautiful and for a cheap stay you can't go wrong with this hotel.
What a wonderful place to stay if your visit Normandy and Bayeux. The rooms and very blame and tidy and the hosts are very hospitable!
Great value and a nice quiet rural setting close to Bayeux.
We were on a cycling holiday of the Normandy area. The hotel was very central to all the sights and even provided a secure room to store our bicycles in each night.
The hotel is close to the city. It was in a beautiful location. It's a bit far for those going to the Normandy beach, but it's pretty good about the hotel.
