The apartment was very large and spacious. Loved the fact that it’s situated right in the town centre, but very well soundproofed! So little to no street noise. Superb location with an abundance of free parking. Close to local amenities on foot and great, scenic walks.
Pascal was very responsive.

Les Maisons du Pont - Charme & Caractère is situated in Aubusson, 33 km from Guéret. Ussel is 47 km away. All units include a dining area and a seating area with a flat-screen TV.
old part was historic looking. However, on arrival I was quite disappointed as the city looked run down. Certainly did not feel a rich vibrant place as the centre of tapestry manufacture in Aubusson style. I was interested in buying tapestries, but there was not a tapestry shop in sight - though I did locate one the next day after going to the tourist office. However, I did travel in late January, and it very likely the place is not at its best or most appealing at this time...

Aubusson is an interesting historic town although you would perhaps have to be interested in learning about tapestry if you visited. However, there is more to the town. It would be worth spending time wandering the streets and looking at the architecture.
Everything about this hotel exuded charm and it was in a prime position to enjoy the ancient town and learn about its importance as a medieval centre for weaving, and of course the world famous tapisteries. The welcome was warm and sincere and the owners have to be congratulated on the work they had undertaken to transform an 18th century notary’s office into a delightful place to stay, even if a little quirky at the edges. Breakfast was a simple continental with fruit and other possibilities
l'Albuconis 7 is a lovely, spacious apartment in the heart of Aubusson steps from the picturesque Creuse River. The apartment was huge and the kitchen was well supplied for a family or a special gathering. It was also walking distance to the Tapestry Museum, various ateliers, and tapestry gallery spaces, a primary reason for visiting Aubusson. There were plenty of places for lunch and dinner close by, as well as Pascal's restaurant down the street which was wonderful.
Perfectly situated for visiting the Musée des tapisserie - well worth a visit and only 5 mins walk from the hotel. A further 5 mins will take you to the town centre. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with lots of suggestions for trips/restaurants. The secure car park is a big plus also. Although the weather didn't permit it, the garden and terrace looked very inviting. Hoping for fine weather for our next visit.
loads of charm & character. fantastic suite with comfy bed. shower lovely. olde worlde charm. obviously care and attention to detail in the renovation.
Restaurant had a good selection of dishes, fairly priced. although our steak was over cooked it’s likely the translation so possibly my fault for saying bien qui, which I’ve said extensively in France for no blood ( medium rare ) but our steak was very very well done.
Our hosts were wonderful, warmly welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a superior king room on the ground floor which had access to the back garden, and was large and very comfortable. The other rooms are upstairs. The hotel is close to the tapestry museums and the main street. Breakfast was generous and delicious, as was the evening meal we had there. We highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
First of all the young ladies at the reception are so sweet and very patient with my less than good French. The owner is an interior designer and it shows in everything. Stylish and they have my absolute favorite soaps at the hotel.
Outstanding location in Aubusson. Beautiful and interesting interior design and very well equipped. A perfect example of how old buildings can be sympathetically and carefully restored and repurposed.
ROOM SUITE ARE VERY NICE , WE HAD ONE WITH A SMALL BALCONY VIEW ON THE RVER AND BRIDGE , NICE KITCHEN , ROOMS ARE IN OLD BEAUTIFUL BUILDINGS AND DECORATED WITH TASTE MODERN CONFORT , VERY NICE CONTRAST
Very spacious and bright, in the heart of Aubusson. Tastefully decorated apartment, with brand new appliances. Very responsive, accommodating and friendly host.
