Location was excellent, as were cleanliness, style & layout of apartment.
I'm not sure what I was expecting but Annemasse is not...
I'm not sure what I was expecting but Annemasse is not particularly charming or exciting. It felt more like a working class suburb of Geneva. I didn't feel that comfortable walking around at night. So I didn't go out much. The main plaza has some charm and some delightful dining opportunities but overall I found the location to be rather unmemorable.
I went to the casino there and was very disappointed. One of the reasons I have occasionally enjoyed my time in casinos in Las Vegas was because of the ability to sit and chat with the dealer and fellow players. But in this casino every game was automated. It was more like anonymous drones chugging away at slot machines than anything that I would call entertaining or charming.
NOTE: There is a tram that goes into Geneva and a train. The tram was very close to the apartment where I was staying so it was very convenient to get into and out of Geneva. The train was faster but the train station was not as close to the center of town. I give Geneva a thumbs up for the public transportation even though Annemasse was not that great.
All in all, if you want to see Geneva on a budget, Annemasse is a decent option. But next time I travel to this area I think I'll just stay in Geneva proper. Much more exciting, cosmopolitan, and active.

Great hub connecting you to all the good sightseeing towns...
Great hub connecting you to all the good sightseeing towns around while saving a ton by avoiding Swiss prices. People in Annemasse itself are friendly and the restaurants are overall pretty good. 75% or more of the establishments speak English. No one ever refused service over language barrier like in Paris etc. Only cons are the downtown streets smell and are rough in some spots buts that's any city it seems.

A great place...convenient travel into Geneva and to other major centers (Lausanne) in Francophone Switzerland without draining your bank account. Love stores like Monoprix where you can buy essentials for very affordable prices :)!

There is not a lot to see in town in terms of tourist attractions although very good access to shops and a good variety. The plus point is the ease of travel into Geneva and the fact that the flat is literally a 100 metres from the train station in within a newly established part of town. Trains run every 15 minutes or so. Plenty places to eat out and also a good boulangerie within 2 mins walk of the flat for morning bread and croissants.

A good place to rest for short stay.
A good place to rest for short stay. Small city with basic shops and supermarkets. Train station is close and services super.
I shopped in MS , a cloth store and got good bargains.
I fell in love eating in a Tunisian restaurant named Blanc Bleu. Their food was very tasty ( escalope with salad and falafel).
I also loved shopping in the supermarket Carrefour City. It had most things. V Market is another store for general household stuff.

Nice friendly town.
Nice friendly town. Excellent bars/ restaurants Maitre de Kanter being our favourite on main town hall square.
Very easy access to Geneva which will be even better once tram line extended from nearby Ambilly.
The apartment really met my expectations.
It's a nice apartment, just like the photos.
In good location, as there is a variety of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Also, you can reach the train station to Genève like in 5 min.
The communication with the homey team was really good. They sent me the exact informations in order to reach the apartment, that was very helpful. They are willing to answer all your questions and help you if needed.
A cosy little hotel. The room was not too big, but had everything one needs (free wifi, tv, desk, place to hang clothes). The surprise was the big and new bathroom. Free parking, and a terrace with trees to hide from the sun. Very close to tram 17, which takes you downtown Geneva in 20 mins. By car you get to Annecy in 30 mins - in a few mins you're on the highway
The location was great in Anemasse, however, if you want to go to the Geneva center is a bit far. The train station is very close and the hotel is in a zone where you can find restaurants, McDonald, supermarkets, pharmacies. etc. The room was very good it had a little kitchen helpful for easy meal preparation. The staff was great! so nice and helpful.
The staff were very helpful and kind. The rooms were basic, but comfortable, and everyone working at the hotel was pleasant, smiling and helpful—especially the cleaning staff! I’ve stayed in hotels far worse and three times the price in Geneva, this was a great alternative and easy to access Geneva with the tram.
Vincent is Super helpful and a wonderful host. Beautiful Views of the mountains from both balconies. Apartment located very close to tram 17 terminus, so you can travel easy to Geneva. Annemasse train station is 10-12min walk. Restaurants & groceries close by
Very nice appartment near Annemasse station, yet calm and with a nice view to the Alps from the top floor of the multi-tenant building. Great choice when having to commute to Geneve, trains runs frequently and are affordable.
Good place for a ,quick one night stop in Annemasse. The bed was, very comfortable and sheets crispy clean. We were a family of 3 with dog. Plenty of room for us all with a seperate bedroom. Would definitely stay here again.
Having stopped here before, the hotel is a great stop over ok our route to Italy. It is functional and clean with everything you need in a no fuss way. The site is secure at night. Staff are all very helpful.
great location in the centre of Annemasse. the hosts are very helpful and the apartment is very smart yet cosy and comfortable. lovely hot shower and quslity fixtures as well as modern well equipped kitchen.
Nice and clean rooms with fully equipped kitchen. Closed private parking. Walking distance to public transport connecting to Geneve center. We strongly recommend.
