The hotel has an incredibly welcoming staff, modern facilities, and an excellent location. Our experience was made even more special by the extra attention we received once the staff found out it was my wife's birthday. If you appreciate modern design, you will absolutely adore this hotel.

Set at the south-western tip of Y-shaped Lake Como, the town of Como offers wonderful views of the surrounding Alps. A funicular railway runs up to the village of Brunate from where you can see Switzerland on the opposite shore.
The peaceful location has long been a favourite with celebrities, but the town has been around since Roman times. In fact, 2 of its most famous sons – Pliny the Elder and Younger – are commemorated in statues on the façade of the 14th-century cathedral. The next door Broletto dates to the previous century, and even older are the remains of the medieval walls and Castello Baradello, sitting on a hill overlooking the town.
Much more modern in style is the Casa del Fascio, built during Mussolini’s rule. The streets between here and the waterfront are packed with shops, bars and restaurants, and Lake Como boat trips depart from the small marina.
The neighbouring park houses a temple-like museum about Alessandro Volta (another former resident), and around the shoreline is elegant Villa Olmo which looks across landscaped gardens to the water’s edge.
The Como accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury lakefront hotels, town centre B&Bs and cheap apartments near San Giovanni Train Station, which offers direct services to Milan.
Lake Como was wonderful. Though we had rain for the three days we stayed, it was still lovely, and will return again, and stay at the
B&B Al Molo, Sant’Agostino. The owner, Stefano, was just wonderful.

Como city itself can be visited in a day, after that the best is to take the bus and visit the cities around the lake like Mennagio - from there, take the ferry (7€/person total) and go visit Bellagio and Varenna.
You can visit villas; such as Carlotta (just before Mennagio) or Olmo (in Como).
In total, a trip between 2 and 3 days (max) is perfect.

Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful scenery. Recommend taking a trip on the fernicular for the views and a meal / drinks in the Locanda Milano hotel while up there.
Plenty of restaurants & bars to choose from in the city. The eateries with a view of the Cathederal are obviously more expensive than others further afield but not necessarily any better fare.
I was expecting it to be eye wateringly expensive but was pleasantly surprised that it was comparable to London / Brighton prices.
Advise picking up a street map from tourist info as the narrow streets can look very similar!

Stunning location, recommend you get up early to get the first boat to other towns on the lake. You have no queues, similarly with the funicular. We got an early car up to Brunate. Came down at 1pm and the queue to go up stretched onto the street.
Easy to get to from Milan (1 hr train)

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with this accommodation. A few minutes before our arrival we received a call from Cascina Mirandola that there were no more rooms available for us. They had selected another hotel for us. There was no explanation or apology for this situation. The other hotel was very far away so we asked for another suggestion. We were assured that we would pay the same price as contractually agreed in the booking. As it was already evening, we drove to the suggested accommodation and stayed there overnight. The next morning we had to pay a much higher price for this overnight stay. The owner phoned Cascina Mirandola to clarify how to proceed. Casicina Mirandola promised to transfer the difference to us. After very slow communication by phone and email, we are still waiting for our money and an apology. Our calls are no longer answered. We feel cheated and cannot recommend Cascina Mirandola under any circumstances.

I must say, after everything I have heard about the beautiful Como, I was left disappointed. Maybe my expectations were a little to high but I didn't like it there. It is a cute town but nothing special. Doesn't feel Italian, if that's what you're looking for. Also, is it quite pricey. I will not be coming back here.
This is a wonderful place. The property itself, both the villa and the surrounding grounds, are absolutely stunning. The breakfast was delightful.
Most impressive was the staff. They were everything you want in a boutique hotel staff - fun, available, helfpul, responsive and professional. I can't say enough about them, they will make your stay wonderful and memorable.
Staying here was an absolute pleasure and I can't recommend it enough and my partner felt the same way. If we return to Como we will stay here again.
The In Centro Luxury Rooms offered me the perfect stay in Como! The hotel is centrally located, but on a quieter street (no noise while sleeping, but very walkable!). Alessandro is an excellent host. He is very responsive to questions and provided us with flexibility during our stay. The rooms are very clean and well kept, with a nice balcony for an excellent view of the streets. I would gladly stay at this hotel when I return to Como and would highly recommend to friends and family.
Hotel's staff was professional, courteous, very helpful and very attentive. The breakfast was excellent; lots of choices, very good coffee. The rooms were simple, comfortable, but met all our needs. A great location: across the street from train station Como - San Giovanni; approximately 1/2 mile walk to lakefront, center of town, and historic district. A wonderful, 24/7, supermarket about a 6 minute walk from hotel. Room was spotlessly clean and tidied up each day.
The room was in very nice condition, clean and sufficient for a few days. The location is excellent, 8 minutes to the train and Lake Como. Lots of shops nearby. The hotel itself is really perfect for this price, there is nothing to complain about. You could leave your luggage (they mark your luggage). Receptionists are nice and open to contact. The breakfast is very diverse, several types of bread, rolls, various cakes, it's worth taking!
The hotel is in a brilliant location in Como. A short 5 min walk from the San Giovanni train station and only 2/3 minutes from the lake where you can get ferries to Bellagio etc. The hotel is also beside a lovely piazza which is nice for dinner/drinks but isn't too loud at night (our room was on the fourth floor). The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was good. I was happy I chose this hotel for our trip.
There was nothing to dislike. The location has to be the B&B’s biggest asset but the room was also perfect. Loved having the little balcony which we could stand at on a morning/evening & look at the Lake. Stefano & his wife were so welcoming & hospitable, they really care about your stay & your time in Como. I would choose staying here again over a hotel any day!
Silvia is such a nice host. She come herself to welcome us. She explained many things about the history of the house, things about Como.
The location is just 200m to the mainstream location. You can easily walk from the bus stop or train station.
The apartment is just renovated. Nice, clean and historic. I would rate it just as same as any 4 stars hotel.
The B&B is located perfectly right at the lake. Stefano is a very kind and generous host, who made us feel welcome from the first second. The room we had was beautifully furnished, spacious and had everything we needed. It was the perfect start for our honeymoon in Italy! If we ever come back to Como we will definitely stay here again :)
The hotel is very close to the lake and only 7 minutes walk to Como city center. The room was a bit old and vintage but I didn't mind it, the bed was comfortable and the toilet was spacious.
The room included a fridge, safe, bathroom amenities and a kettle with free drinks.
The staff was really helpful as well.
Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable hotel, lovely breakfast. Enjoyed the pool and roof terrace bar. 6 min walk from Como Borghi railway station - with easy access to Milan and Malpense airport. Fast ferries make exploring the lake and day trips to Bellagio and Varenna easy.
I just can't find the exact word to describe how amazing the staff of this hotel , they are very friendly and cheerful and gave me a very warm welcome.
Everything is well organized and smooth.
If I ever come back to Como I will definitely stay here again
Cozy place, exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness. top value for this price. even if the hotel seems far from Como centre, free parking it's definitely worth it and there are tons of buses that will take you everywhere.
The view from the Hotel over the lake is extraordinary; there is a boat stop next to the hotel to reach the city of Como in 10 minutes. The personnel is very nice and helpful. We greatly enjoyed the diverse breakfast buffet.
Nice hotel, good breakfast with many choices. They were nice and we could leave our luggage in the hotel from the morning. Very well situated, near the train station and you can easily reach Como Lake.
A premium gorgeous hotel on the shores of Lake Como. The room is well designed with a large double bed, a beautiful view and a very comfortable bathroom. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.
The hotel was in a excellent location overlooking Lake Como. It is also just next to the furnicular stop to Brunate. Breakfast was simple yet fairly good with very attentive staff.
