Since the early 1980's, Hilton Head Island has remained our happy place. We love cycling on the beach and in the plantation areas on Hilton Head Island. The island also offers for golfing enthusiasts well-established and meticulously groomed golf courses. Tennis is also another option with numerous courts on the island. Hilton Head Island provides further amenities such as restaurants and shopping. The only negative is that Hilton Head Island has now become so popular that traffic, especially on the weekend, can be quite busy. Our happy place is no longer just our secret!

A lovely relaxing place to visit.
A lovely relaxing place to visit.
We have been coming back here for some 15 years and have always enjoyed our stays. Playing golf, cycling on the beach beside the tide and eating out at the many good quality restaurants. The fish is top rate

Not very commercialized, which is nice.
Not very commercialized, which is nice. Some restaurants like Frankie Bones take phone reservations a day ahead of time and have no seats available for walkins, but their website says come for our early bird specials. That was frustrating. The Island overall is nice. People in Sea Pines dont seem to care for your business, a lot of horn blasting. The beaches are amazing. We rode 30 miles on our bikes on the beach since its so wide and hard packed. We stayed at Hampton Place which was great. Had lunch one day at Flatbreads, that was amazing. When driving, stay in the left lanes for traffic circles, not much warning to get over if your in the right. Overall a relaxing trip and would come back, we live only 2 hours away.

The apartment was nasty! Especially the bathrooms!!!!!
The apartment was nasty! Especially the bathrooms!!!!! They were way small, small sinks barely a mirror, the molding around the toilets were coming off, they were old and out dated!!! The bathroom was the most nastiest thing there! The kitchen looked new and upgraded, the bedroom had no were to put your close, both bedrooms had no lighting just a dimmed lamp probaby 10 watts! That was the only lighting!!! No mirrors except one cheap one that was hanging over the door! Again let me say NO LIGHTS in the bedrooms, and no where to put your clothes!! Please up grade and expand those nasty bathrooms at unit G-21. For 1,000 dollars we got ripped off! And fix those bedrooms up better!

Overall the room was good.
Overall the room was good. The Customer Service could have been better. They weren’t that friendly. The bed’s were squeaky, but tolerable. The balcony could be bigger. You can only sit one way comfortably. I didn’t like the fact that as soon as I walk in someone approaches me about going to a meeting about signing up for a club after traveling. I didn’t like how the door’s slammed and powered loud in the hallway. Hopefully, if I have to use them again some of these can be resolved.

Lots to do around Hilton Head.
Lots to do around Hilton Head. Visiting on vacation while waiting for my son to graduate from MCRD Parris Island.. Within decent distance from Parris Island. Not too far to drive early AM for the things you need to be present for if you're a parent. Tanger Outlet 1 & 2 are close-by... plenty of shopping and stores.
The beach is not as great as others. Tar balls were everywhere, along with PLENTY of jellyfish.. and I didn't see any in the water.. They were dotted along the beach, every few feet.

We arrived at the Hotel. If was very expensive. The maid the second day misplaced our clothes and lost swimming trunks, shirt, and other items missing. We told the front desk. Tried to speak to a Manager. Know one got back to us. I also will complain to Corporate. But we usually stay at another Resort. We will never stay at this Marriott Hilton Head Beach Resort and Spa. Because they take or misplace your stuff. And do nothing. No Managers ever available.
The hotel is located very close to where I was going for outpatient surgery. We ate at a restaurant on the street behind the hotel (right across the street) ~ bar and grill. Portions were generous and the food was delicious. The room was clean and the scent was of recent cleaning, which I love. The two "living room chairs" were a surprise and extra comfortable.
This hotel isn't fancy looking by any means, but the staff was great, the room was SUPER clean, and the beds and pillows were ultra-comfy. Our room had two queen beds, a large trash can (I loved this because most hotels have tiny ones), a dehumidifier (crucial for humid Hilton Head Island), and a refrigerator that was bigger than a mini but not full size.
This hotel is amazing, lovely greeting from reception lady, made us feel very welcome, room was just stunning, very clean, very nicely decorated and bed very comfortable. The location is ideal walkable to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants, there is also a free trolley bus that will take you all around the island.
We stayed the previous year and so enjoyed it we booked again. The staff is always welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The bar tenders were engaging and delightful. The room was immaculate, warm, comfortable and quiet. This places out does every other place on Hilton Head Island.
They are still being very lazy post COVID. Don't give me the "Green Initiative" crap, you're just behind cheap and lazy! No room cleaning unless you're there 3 nights are more. Not even by request.
No breakfast, again using COVID as an excuse.
The Hilton Head Island was great. The Holiday Inn was outdated. The Fire alarm panel had a supervisory alarm on it and it beeped in the lobby constantly. Facility was behind on routine maintenance.
Beautiful property on the beach. Great experience. Some things out dated but some things up dated. It was very easily assessable. Lots to do and price was cheaper than hotels. We enjoyed ourselves.
Right on the beach which was what we wanted to most.
very comfortable beds, nice room with sea view. Enjoyed breakfast & evening meal in the outside restaurant terrace.
It's not on the beach but it's a short bike ride to the beach. We love being near Coligny and all the stuff that it has to offer. I also love the pool at Coral Sands.
There is apparently a scent that is unique to Courtyard (each Marriott hotel level is different) and every time I entered the main lobby, it smelled amazing!
