Featuring a terrace, a bar, and a restaurant that serves typical dishes of Ecuador, Hostal Fevilamir offers panoramic views of the Imbabura Volcano.

Nothing to complain! Nice and clean room, friendly staff, good and quiet location. I forgot my power adapter in the room and they organised for it to be sent to me and even paid for the shipping! Thank you very much for your help!

Ibarra is beautiful, small, friendly, tranquil
I love the proximity to outstanding nature whilst you can get anything you need done here. Doctor, dentist, tailor, beauty treatments, etc. Mercado Amazonas has anything you may need or want, from amazing fresh food, to cooked traditional foods, to consultations with local herbalists, to bedding, clothes, wellie boots... I had a broken, very large tent zip replaced here, it was a massive problem as it rendered my tent useless, it cost only $11 and was done the same day!!!
It’s easy to get around, taxi anywhere in Ibarra is $1.25 and $1.50 at night. Great connection from here to pretty much anywhere, on the bus, including Colombia.

Nice little town, a couple of pleasant plazas and churches.
Nice little town, a couple of pleasant plazas and churches. There is a 6 hour train trip you can take mostly for the enjoyment of the trip itself (with tunnels and bridges and funny train) - the end station Salinas does not have much to offer, and the lunch there is best skipped. There is also a nearby lake that offers lakeside restaurants and other activities - at the time of my visit the local ducks with blue bills seemed to be in an amorous mood, surely other birds can also be observed. All in all, you can easily spend a day and a half relaxing, if you like that kind of small town atmosphere.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ibarra.
I thoroughly enjoyed Ibarra. I enjoyed traveling on Tren Ecuador to Salinas and back which the hosts gave a great rundown of the history of the area. I stayed out of the city in the Yuaharcocha area which was relaxing and very tranquil. I enjoyed lunch at Mall Laguna and a local bus ride to San Antonio to view the artists’ wooden crafts.
The hospitality was exceptional, the history of this place made it legendary. The family is really gentle, always there for you.
The food! Let’s talk about the food! The best dishes I have ate in all my trip in Ecuador! You need to try the sopa de arroz con queso, it’s incredible.
And the hike with the guide José-Luis was superb, he is really good and give you a real taste of the flora local.
I would come back any time, muchas gracias por todo🌱
It was a nightmare staying in there for two nights. the hotel manager looked me in for one hour and went to the shop I was trying to go out at midday and she wasn't In reception n no one else was covering. I issued a complain but one cares about the meter, not even an apology from members of stuff. I'm very frustrated with it.
Breakfast consisted of eggs, fruit, coffee, juice and a sandwich, all very good. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. I felt safe walking during the day to the main cathedral and parque. The natural beauty of the area is a plus, as Ibarra is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
The host was amazing. She took the time to explain me what to do, where to go, how to get there, recommended me places to eat, gave me advice about the costs etc. The location was also the best for Ibarra, right across the bus terminal, very convenient to rest and keep your travels.
The property area towards the edge of the laguna is beautiful - it is definitely like an event space! The best part of the hotel grounds is the event gardens by the lake. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The other super bonus of this place is that it is very pet friendly.
Ecuador seems to be the friendliest country I've ever been to. Cielo verde was my highlight and I want to recommend it to anyone who wants to be out in nature, find some silence, or just wants to be far from cities. I'll miss this place a lot, waiting to come back :)
Exceptionally clean and bright hotel. The decor and artwork are very pretty. The upstairs has a jacuzzi and sauna area that we discovered on the last morning. We would love to return to try it. The staff were very nice and the location is great for walking to town.
Stay at La Quinta for business the staff was friendly and professional. I would recommend this to anybody that comes to Ibarra. Location wise is about 5-10 mins from the center. I did not take full advantage of all the facilities but will next time.
Very very nice people at this hotel. They were very attentive and really seemed to want us to have a good stay. Very big rooms, broad hallways, good beds. Good breakfast. There are some things that are outdated but it’s a really good value overall.
we stayed only one night and absolutely love our time in this hotel. beds were super comfortable. room was spacious. shower was hot. super clean hotel and staff is friendly and welcoming. highly recommend!
The hotel is very clean, very nice staff, tv works well with access to many (Spanish speaking) cable channels. Location is good, taxis are always at your doorstep or nearby. Breakfast is included.
Good hotel just round the corner of Parque Moncayo. Comfortabele room with water kettle, a bottle of water and a teabag. Silvia is always there and very friendly. I would stay there again.
I loved the little garden in the middle of the place. Located in a very interesting and safe place on Ibarra’s downtown. All the staff was very polite! thanks a lot! :D
The hotel is very clean, the hot water was nice and toasty in the shower and the bed was comfortable. Quiet neighborhood at night. Good breakfast in the morning.
