The hotel has a fantastic location. There is a market and a gift shop next to it, and you can find several bistros and small restaurants too. The lake and the mountains are just a few footsteps away, so it is perfect. The parking spots are big and comfortable, easy to find and park.

The rooms are cosy, clean and comfy. Our two rooms had balconies with views of the mountains and lake. There was plentiful hot water. Breakfasts were excellent, with a good choice of food, including freshly baked strudel and cakes, and on some days, pancakes. Staff were friendly , helpful, and offered a very warm welcome. The pension is located on the way to the Savice waterfall, and it’s less than a ten minute walk to the bus stop which takes you to the other end of Bohinj and beyond. There’s a restaurant within ten minutes’ walk, but opening times are a bit erratic. Better (if like us you don’t have a car) is to sample the excellent pizzas, salads, and grills at the campsite 15-20 minutes walk away.

It is more of a 3 star hotel than 4, however what made our stay exceptional were the people. Staff is incredible. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. These are the most kind, friendly, welcoming, giving people I have ever met in hotels. Food is good, location is great. Nice views from the room. Overall good value for money.

VERY friendly staff, spacious room with balcony, good beds and excellent shower. The latter was a godsend in the local heatwave we experienced. The on-site restaurant has a wide range of choices, from strictly vegan to hardcore carnivore, so don’t think the ‘pizzeria’ sign indicates that that is all they do. Loads of local ingredients and dishes, all served in portions large enough to satisfy even the most serious eater. Ample choice at breakfast buffet, with local produce as well. Logistically well equipped, with large private parking and shops, banks, key regional bus stops plus the train station all just a few hundred meters away.

This hostel offers good-value accommodation with shared and private bathroom facilities. Located outside Pac Sports Centre, it provides a discount for the centre’s activities. Ribčev Laz is 2 km away....
