The breakfast was fantastic with freshly made juice and choice of omelettes or anything else you liked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great - a short walk to the shops, restaurants and the bus stop was just outside. The big bonus was the bakery downstairs which had delicious cakes !

Great "mini home" with cooking facillities, table and chairs plus a sofa. Short walk in to Plaka and great for nearby shops and restaurant. Host was super helpful and cleaning was excellent each day. Parking if you need it which was handy as we rented an ATV.
Featuring a garden, Drougas' Windmill offers apartments with a patio overlooking the sea, mountains and island of Milos. A sun terrace with outdoor furniture, sunbeds and umbrellas is offered.

Plaka is the typical Cycladic village you expect. The studios is very welcoming, clean and comfortable in a quiet area of the center and very close to the small square from where you can see the most beautiful sunset on the island. Also the host very kind

The view from the accommodation is one of a kind! As the accommodation is right on top of the highest point in Plaka, nothing else compares.

Nice to be in a location with some restaurants/bar, lots of shops, incredible views and lots of friendly cats! Safe area and free public parking lot a 10-15 min walk from most places in the Plaka. Overall seems much less crowded and crazy than Adamas Port area. Some small museums in the town. As Plaka is higher up on the island, be prepared for walking inclines/declines and some stairs depending on your route. Limited car parking up close to restaurants and some of the rental accommodations, so something to consider if you have difficulty with mobility. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this area again.

Excellent location in Placka.
Excellent location in Placka. The host Stelios really care about the clients and he is used to provide very useful information about restaurants and beaches in Milos and other islands. The studio was amazing with an excellent view. I suggest all future visitors of Milos to stay in the old village of Placka and book a room at Halara Studios.

Magnificent view from the terrace of the countryside below Plaka, parts of the Milos bay and the windmills of Trypiti. On foot you can reach the old core with its beautiful Cycladic architecture in a few minutes or the ancient theater in half an hour. Don't miss the sunset from the Kastro! Our host Dimitris was incredibly helpful, in case of technical problems (Wi-Fi) immediately on the spot and had many good tips for restaurants, beaches and other destinations. On request, our apartment would have been cleaned even daily, which we did not find necessary.

Plaka is a small village but definitely the best place to stay on Milos due to the village being quite lively at night. I recommend a car for the island anyways so you might as well stay in that village and get a great view. The village is also central enough to the main attractions that if you want to hike directly from there to the port city or the beaches (Plathiena) or fish village (Klima) you will have a nice good hike. The prices are more expensive there so go eat elsewhere. The Utopian Café is worth it, though you can see the beautiful sunset from so many places. Do not go to the only café/bakery near the center - it's overpriced. Go to Adamantas - the port town - better prices for better quality.

This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly.
This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly. There are restaurants nearby.some a bit pretentious. We used a local taxi to take us around and to leave on the ferry
Incoming was difficult as l ferry was two hours late. Nothing at ferry terminal. Best to walk to entry to port where there are more.
No nearby local shops.
Excellent archaeology including the spot where Venus de Milo was found.

Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in.
Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in. At night they block off car traffic and so pedestrians can walk freely from restaurants to shops to bars, etc. So cozy and lots of dining options. Central to the whole island.
Great location to the Plaka, just a few minutes walk. Friendly family owned hotel and bakery downstairs. Comfy rooms, great AC and the room had a balcony with a fridge and a complimentary bottle of water and tea was also provided. Plaka was my favorite village and much preferable to other areas where people stay such as sleepy Pollonia and busy Adematas. Adematas would be my second favortite location, but really Plaka is where it's at. Despite a Greek dancing festival that could be heard from outside, I could not hear anything in my room.
We had the most amazing stay at Eiriana and did not want to leave! Our room was beautiful and the breakfast every morning was one of the best I’ve had. The pool area is also stunning and the hotel has beautiful views. Elena our host made it perfect and could not do enough for us! She was so warm and friendly and gave the hotel such a nice feel. We will definitely come back! The hotel is also in a great location. Easy walk to Plaka and short taxi to Adamas. The hotel is in Trypiti which is such a beautiful town with good restaurants etc.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Great views with the little balcony with clothelines and good size room with comfy bed in a calm little village close to Plaka and everything else on the island. Amazing host who leaves you little treats every day. We had rain while we were there and, while we were away, she even took our clothes that were on the clothesline inside before they were wet!
Liked how it was on top of a hill and in an outside town. The Town had it's own restaurants and stores that we could walk to. The staff was very friendly. They made all accomodations including bring breakfast at different times each day. They also were kind enough to hold our luggage til the afternoon when we had our flight. The food was good. They even serve drinks to the room or pool.
Nice views of the ocean, five minute walk to old city Plaka. Owner is Stelios who also owns a bar named Verinas (cute little joint with hand crafted cocktails). Breakfast not included. Has an electric stove top with some cooking supplies and small hotel size mini fridge. Would recommend getting a car to drive to all the beaches of Milos. Helped us with car and restaurant reservations.
the staff are very nice , kind and helpful in all matters
Dimitris was very very helpful and professional
the location is great
the quietness and beauty of the area
the cleaness of the hotel
the politeness of the staff and the people of milos unlike all other islands
you wake up to the sound of nature
just an amazing hotel is you want to clear your mind
Halara Studios was a highlight of our Greece trip, we felt so at home in the studio and were looked after so well by Stelios and Ms Anna. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and if we visit Milos again in the future, we would gladly stay here. The room had all the comforts you would want and the view from the balcony is pretty hard to beat.
What a beautiful and immaculate hotel to stay in Milos! It’s perfectly situated close to Plaka and Klima, and walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Milos. But the best thing about this place is Chaido. She is so incredibly kind and the perfect host, and we will always cherish our stay here and remember how welcomed we felt.
View of the sunset on your own terrace. Barely a 2 minute walk into the center of Plaka. 10 minutes with luggage to bus stop to go into Adamantas.
Betty and her husband are so incredibly kind and helpful. You have everything you need in your studio. The room was immaculately clean. Bed is standard firm for Greece 😁
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and it’s was by far the most pleasant experience in the island. The room was so clean and all appliances were new. Showers and beds were great ! The view and location are honestly the best together with the room. Will definitely be booking this room again in the future
Our stay with Anastasia and Loukas was the highlight of our trip in Greece! Beautiful location, comfortable and cozy accommodation. Absolutely lovely hosts who took care of our stay, even picking us up at the ferry and driving us into town to pick up a rental car. Cannot recommend enough.
The staff are extremely kind, the hotel is right above a lovely bakery/cafe and it’s perfectly located in Plaka. Within two minutes you are in the old town and the bus stop is literally a few steps away. Everything was extremely clean and comfy and the balcony was great to have as well.
Aris was an exceptional host, providing us with the information we needed to see the sights in Milos. He was invaluable in assisting us with required covid testing. Our apartment was perfect, the best we've had in three weeks on greece. Highly recommend vivere a plaka.
We don't usually leave reviews but this is a gem. Clean, cozy, comfy. Excellent local Milos experience. The host Dimitris is unbelievably nice and goes way above expectations in terms of service. The cleaner cares and looks after you and the rooms like a 5-star hotel.
Really comfortable and spacious. Fantastic views from the terrace up to the kastro and sea. Apartment cleaned every 2 days with changes of all beds, towels and bins. Staff at Athena travel were very helpful about booking tours and a car.
This was the highlight of our two week stay in Greece. Anastasia and her husband Lucas were incredibly friendly and good to us. The studio was perfect, with the most incredible views, we didn't want to leave! Great location too!
This is a beautiful place and very unique. A highlight of our two weeks in Greece. When we were stranded by a transportation strike, they kindly let us stay an extra night.
The best stay from our visit in Greece, the host went the extra mile to help us with traveling and even food. Really loved out stay it was absolutely beautiful!
