This hotel was in perfect location for overnight stay. Close to ferry, metro and bus to airport , just a few minutes walk from all.
It was clean and functional . The bed was comfortable enough ,mattress seemed fairly new .The shower and air conditioning were good , worked well (essential in very hot Athens) ,everything was clean . 24 hour reception was useful if late arriving from ferries or flight. Cafes were nearby for breakfast.

The best in the hotel Faros I are the personnel: they are friendly, helpful, and funny. The rooms are very clean and it's a 10-15 minute walk to the metro, to the University of Piraeus and to the port. I would recommend a stay there!

Piraeus is a work-a-day town with nothing special to see.
Piraeus is a work-a-day town with nothing special to see. The main reason people stay here is to take the ferry or a cruise ship. We stayed at the Glaros Hotel, which is a basic accommodation that I would not stay at again. I recommend staying in Athens or another local town.

Disregard comment on missing items from bag previously made.
Disregard comment on missing items from bag previously made. They reviewed footage and no one touched my bag. So it must have been in Athens when some souvenirs were taken. Loved the location of this hotel and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind.

This was a lively city with plenty of restaurants and cafes. It was a good place to stay after the ferry from Mykonos. The Archaeological Museum was good as was the harbour walk. There were many beautiful churches.

We enjoyed our stay in an apartment in Piraeus not far from the port entrance. The port is a very busy and very big area, it took us a while to find our way round as there are very few directional signs in English. It makes it hard to find things initially. We had to ask directions a lot and some locals treated us poorly with eye rolling, etc. while they explained directions to us like we were children. Once you get it worked out though it is a great way to do a bit of island hoping. We went on day trips to Paros, Hydra and Aegina. Loved them all.
Hospitality staff in restaurants and cafes in Piraeus were great, very friendly and helpful. Great service everywhere we went.
The area is not very attractive though as it is a working waterfront and as with everywhere in Greece there is so much graffiti. So sad that a city with such incredible history is so badly defaced. Overall it was a great stay though.

A bustling harbour and marina area of downtown Athens.
A bustling harbour and marina area of downtown Athens. We loved it as being near the Zea Marina meant lots of nightlife and amazing super yachts etc. It had a good family feel with people out and about safely having fun till quite late. You could access public transport to get into Athens centre easily and I would say this is a good a place to stay if not better due to ability to swim and see some quieter parts beyond the central tourist areas. It also meant accessing trips to the Islands was easy as they mainly left from the marinas, and if you wanted a ferry or cruise these were also nearly at the port the other side of the peninsula.

LOCATION: DOWNTOWN, within 5 mins walking distance to Metro (direct from airport); STOP dimotiko theatro, less than 10 min walk (3 blocks away from SeaJets Pireaus Ferry port); The Bread Factory (bakery) on the way to the Ferry port
Clean updated hotel.
Room- Clean, 3 beds felt slightly cramped but for 1 night it was fine :)
Reception- Extremely friendly (Nadia) and helpful with directions.
Abundance of restaurants within 5 mins walking distance (of any price point)
Main shopping promenade is 1 block away
Stayed at the Piraeus Port hotel for 1 night when arriving from the islands on route to Athens airport. The hotel is ideal for that purpose, it is a short walk from both the port and the metro and train stations. The hotel has been renovated throughout and I found the room comfortable, with plenty of power outlets and complementary tea/coffee. Breakfast was a fantastic buffet with cold and hot options for only 10 euros. Finally, the staff on reception were very helpful and friendly. Would absolutely
stay again.
It was close to the port for our ferry trip which was the purpose of booking this hotel. It was a no-frills hotel, but that was our expectation. The inside seemed clean, we had a private bathroom, hot water, and an air conditioner. If you keep into consideration the cost to stay here, you will be 100% satisfied! Just now the ‘twin’ beds are tiny and smaller than twin beds. They were fine for my children, but I suspect an adult would barely fit on one of them.
The breakfast was basic, but more than adequate, however I’m not a big breakfast eater! The location was great, I booked for the convenience of getting to the port for the next leg of my adventure. The staff were/are exceptionally helpful, every question I ask about get to, from and around Athens was answered concisely, everyone was lovely. I will say, without detriment, don’t expect a luxury hotel, but it is clean, convenient, and well located!
Nice quite large room in Piraeus on walkable distance from X96 (airport) bus, or Athens metro. Ferry ports are close by, so this place is your stopover hotel for the night. Clean, comfy bed, nicely lay out room and a fridge. There was 2 bottles of water provided, thank you! Bathroom was modern, and comfortable. Also the large balcony is appreciated. Breakfast was included in our stay, lovely! Some typical Greek food also, and plenty of eggs.
Hotel staff were very pleasant. Although there is no parking- the lot across from the hotel was offered for 11 Euros a day- coming and going as desired- which was a plus since parking is challenging in Piraeus, so close to the port. Shops all around- so there really was no need for a car- since the Metro train is right around the corner and will get you to all the sites in Athens, but we had a car.
The staff was amazing! Helped taking our luggage out of the taxi and delivered our luggage to our rooms.
Gave us suggestions on where to dine in the area and assisted with transportation to the port free of charge.
The room was recently renovated and had sufficient room for a family of four.
Should we return to Athens for a longer stay we would definitely stay at Phidias Piraeus Hotel again.
breakfast was amazing and fresh. shower was so great and clean, especially after a 10 hour flight. comfortable bed. close to port, decent cafes, and the metro which we needed. we had to stay at another hotel the next night because of a last minute schedule change to our trip and we were severely missing the Port Square. happy to stay here again at the end of our trip.
The Filon is an economical two star hotel. It is very near to the two harbours and the central shopping area. It is within a 15 minutes walk to transport to Athens and the airport. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. There is a lift. The hotel is a bit depressed and worn. The room was quite small. It was clean and serviced.
Cleanliness, location, room size, modern. Perfect staff. Loved the large modern shower and bathroom. Would recommend, would stay again. 7min walk to the port if you're taking a ferry to the islands and also a 7min walk from the metro (if coming from Athens/airport) to hotel.
The location of the Hotel was excellent near the Port, which is what we needed for 1 night to rest before the next voyage.
There are plenty of eateries outside which are open till late night.
The room had comfy beds with the AC working and a small balcony too.
A very professional hotel. Nice large room allocated, dinner in hotel was very good. Staff were all excellent. No complaints at all. I've given a high mark for location because we needed to be near the port - that might not be everyone's choice.
This hotel was great for a night before catching a ferry the next day. It’s right near the port. The staff were super helpful too. Our room was great- very comfortable bed. Breakfast was also great for €6
The air conditioning also worked great.
The hotel is perfectly located to the Port of Piraeus, the Athens Metro and everything in the Piraeus area is walking distance from the hotel. Staff set me up extremely well for the one day that I had to see the sights of Athens.
This is a lovely hotel, most conveniently located for the Port, the Metro and the airport bus. The rooms are spacious, quiet, have a lovely bathroom and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staff are great.
Lovely hotel near the port. Room was well appointed and the bed was very very comfortable. I had dinner in the restaurant which was OK and the breakfast was great. Hotel parking, once found, was an added bonus!
Very convenient to the port (there are a number of ports and the hotel seemed central to all of them, just a short walk away), staff were very helpful in helping me check in and get to the boats.
Excellent location close to Piraeus Cruise port, METRO station across hotel 1 line to downtown touristic Athens (2 EURO each direction 22 minutes). Good breakfast excellent value for money
