It is a beautiful, clean, and quiet city near Katowice in German style almost at the cross of A4 and A1 highways. Center\downtown is a typical Polish historical district with buildings mainly from the 1900 years. It deserves a few days to walk in the center, visit Palmarnia, the wooden radio tower, and the Villa Cairo museum.

Well- if you are coming here its probably not because of hunt for beautiful views or splendid architecture. It's not a world class tourist hub- just a little, kinda sleepy city. Do not take me wrong- there is nothing bad about it, it has its own, german-ish charm, nice restaurants, pleasant town square and is quite well connected- you should not be disappointed, just do not expect too much and you will be fine.

The small old town is pretty with plenty of lively restaurants and pubs. Recommended visiting over a weekend. I discovered very delicious doughnuts in a store called "Stara Pączkarnia". Just delicious.

We actually found people unfriendly, with a few exceptions(they were lovely). Must be a cultural thing.
Street signs (for us) difficult to pick up(car)
Not a lot of parking (perhaps there but we could'nt find)
Limited attraction hours (we understand however if usage low)

We ate in "Pyszne kurcze pyszne" with an incredible decoration/ There is a large train layout along all walls.A train serves you drinks/ For me super restaurant
The place was really good. We liked the style of the flat: with those red bricks - very modern and nice. The room was quite big, especially the bathroom. We really liked that it was in the center of the city, for a good price. Especially we enjoyed the process of check-in and checkout were we need only use the code. We enjoyed our stay, it also was convenient to get back at night after the concert at Gliwice Arena (about 25 min walking). Thanks a lot.
The location of the hotel was excellent as it was right next to the highway and easy to find, ample parking space as well. It was very quiet and provided a good night's rest on our long trip. We booked quadruple room which came with a hot-tub (the kids really enjoyed that). The room was spacious and it provided with some free water bottles and instant coffee (with a water heater). The price was really affordable as well.
This is my second time staying in Silvia hotel, this time with my family, the room is very big, which is amazing, breakfast was good aswell and the restaurant is amazing!!
My husband did enjoy the beer that made by silvia hotel. The only complain we have is the door in our room, were having a hard time to closed it, but other than that, everything is amazing, we surely stay in Silvia again if I'm going back to gliwice..
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Hotel does have a secure parking for about 10 cars or so. Not much but we managed to get a spot. There is also an open parking in front of the hotel and street parking options.
Room was clean and tidy, however a little basic and not new. Still, i find that for 2 stars, quality was adequate.
Neighbourhood is quiet and seemed safe.
Overall a good choice for a short stay
The whole personnel was really nice and trying their best to help us, language barrier was sometimes there but we still managed to get what was needed.
Breakfast has a lot of things to offer, every day there was something new to try.
If you decide to eat lunch/dinner in the hotel, their restaurant provides a few really delicious options, drinks are also good.
Free parking and wifi is a nice extra touch
The staff were very friendly and helpful at reception. The location of the hotel is perfect for my visit. The room was clean and big enough for a single room. I did not have breakfast at the hotel but i was informed that breakfast is served at their more deluxe hotel a few minutes away.
A well located hotel if you need a place to stay for one night or something affordable close to the city center. The hotel is a little dated, but the room was clean. On the first floor of the hotel there is a restaurant that offers very good Greek-style meals.
Super clean, newly furnished, spacious and cosy apartment, comfortable beds and white linen. Comfortable location in the town, especially if one is a transit traveller. Parking near the house. Will definitely book it next time we’ll travel through Gliwice.
Great staff.
Pretty basic indoor, but very clean, comfy room. 5min from big food shop (Biedronka), train and bus stops, so gettin to the Gliwice city center is very convenient. Got more than expected for the price.
:( Only problem was a loud group of guests who were up late into the night... but I could also hear them all the way down the street when they went for a walk, so it's not the hotel's fault.
The friendly staff throughout the hotel and particular the chef Elżbieta. The breakfasts were very good and offered a varied selection. We ate there one evening and the meal was excellent.
Comfortable beds, warm rooms. The apartament is big and can fit 3 people with no problem. Also this is right next to the Gliwice market square, with a great burger place downstairs.
We went in transit and stayed for one night. The location for such purposes was excellent and hotel also was good. Food in hotel restaurant was tasty and for good prices.
Staff is friendly and location (surroundings) are nice.
Food was good with very tweety breakfast.
Hotel staff was kind enough to accommodate our move out request.
