I did not visit Wareham itself as I was staying in Corfe Castle which is a beautiful village. I was holidaying with my dog and there were plenty of places that welcome dogs including tea rooms, the Swanage steam railway and some boat tours from Swanage.

Plenty of history.
From the Saxon walls around the town.
Plenty of history.
From the Saxon walls around the town. Lawrence of Arabia's final years.
Old churches and the rivers on the North and South of the town. Everyone should do there homework before visiting and if there during the third week of November there is "Court Leet" an historic ceremony held each year. Certainly "you tube" is a great tool to view before making the trip.
A warm greeting by the staff upon arrival with helpful suggestions for parking off site was greatly appreciated. This charming hotel provided comfortable, sparkling clean accommodations. We had a tasty evening meal in the restaurant during our stay and enjoyed the robust English breakfast served to us with pleasant grace by our server. The hotel has connection to events with the notable Lawrence of Arabia and is centrally located for exploring Wareham with its vibrant local history. Well worth the visit!
everything ! historic property with loving excellent renovation mix of all modern comforts respecting original historic property gorgeous grounds acres on river gardens view of historic church inside decor awesome location to all Wareham area attractions got upgrade to suite staff accosted to requests and helped with suggestions and booking of restaurants attractions transport
lovely little apartment with comfortable sofa bed for second adult. Cosy with the central heating on. Location is perfect for exploring the area. lulworth and Durdle Door are 10 mins drive away and Wareham for eating and shopping about the same. There’s a farm shop and cafe/restaurant 3 mins walk from the farm which is useful. And the farm dogs are lovely. Thank you.
Very accommodating host and fantastic location for anyone travelling via train. The host let us have an early check in and was quite happy to accommodate some last minute changes in our plan. The property is quite close to the Wareham station and is just a short bus ride away from all tourist attractions like the Corfe Castle.
We wanted a central location that was available for a Monday to Friday break and this cottage was excellent. Very well equipped and excellent soundproofing so you wouldn't know you were in the middle of Wareham. Overnight parking is free in the car park next to the cottage.
Lovely old building with all the facilities you would expect, a warm welcome and good breakfast at a civilised hour on a weekday until 10.30. Right on the High Street (there's a bypass so not too much traffic!) so convenient for everything in Wareham and for local buses.
Friendliness of staff on arrival - as I arrived by motorbike and sometimes do not get the best of receptions but staff were lovely. The room was better than expected as I am used to staying in London and having worked in the hotel industry was wary of my expectations.
The lake is beautiful and the cheeky ducks are good fun (the bird seed was a nice touch!)
. The studio was spacious, well equipped, and furnished to a high standard. The studio is only a short walk (20/25mins) along a country lane to the centre of Wareham.
Next to Wareham forest with lovely walks and good for snake spotting.
Beds were very comfortable.
Welcome hamper was a nice touch.
Garden and parking facilities were good.
Overall we had a good week and explored the area and enjoyed our stay.
The property was very clean and comfortable. It was also only a 5 minute walk to the Quay in Wareham with local pubs and restuarants. The small road on which the property was located was quiet which was good.
The location was perfect for us, as we wanted to travel on the Swanage heritage railway. The property also had a convenient restaurant across the road, and was only a short walk into Wareham town centre.
Good breakfast with extra touches e.g. unlimited tea, toast, juice.
Great location to explore west Dorset, Staff excellent, polite & so attentive.
Just a unique special hotel.
The location was perfect to go into Wareham town.
Stephanie and Richard were very friendly and helpful.
Great breakfast.
The room was warm and comfortable and clean.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting which in the summer sunshine is stunning Lounges on the ground and first floor allow for and enhance the relaxing atmosphere.
