Location was convenient for exploring Stirling.
I had a lovely meal when I arrived and a very comfortable, spacious and clean bedroom. The Scottish Breakfast choice was good and was hot and cooked properly. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. There was a charge of £10 for my dog, which I thought was reasonable. Unlike some hotels in the area, parking was free.

There is so much to see and to absorb if you love history and want to know where your ancestors came from. Essential: talk to people wherever you go. There is so much to learn from those who staff the historic sites! Dee and Trisha were great sources of info. See Holy
Rude Church and the connected graveyard. Wow! Always ask for the hidden or less seen places. The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum is a quirky gem. (It has the oldest known football.) Things to remember: walking is great, but challenging. Taking a taxi sometimes makes you miss some of the things, however, like going through the graveyard at Holy Rude.

Most shocking experience of any holiday when we were unable to access accommodation we paid for through Booking.com. Don’t use Booking.com. They did not help us and we had to find and pay for alternative accommodation.

Stirling is a lovely area.
Stirling is a lovely area. The castle is really interesting but there is a lot of walking on cobbles. We are getting on a bit so found it a bit uphill and down dale but well worth a visit. 20 minutes drive from Stirling are The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. The Kelpies are amazing and if you book a tour they take you inside, a must for any engineer. Falkirk Wheel is more interesting watching from outside but is an absolute master in engineering. Stirling town centre had a lovely shopping Mal we just found it busy and difficult to park.

Stirling is my home town, but I have lived in the Highlands for many years now and always enjoy returning. I cannot see it through the eyes of a stranger, but I am proud of what it has to offer. You are literally walking through history on the streets of the upper town below the castle. Climb the Wallace monument and enjoy views from Edinburgh in the east to Argyll in the west. Play golf on one of the finest courses in Scotland with lovely views over the Carse. I could go on. Stirling is a must-see for visitors to Scotland.

Great location in the centre of Scotland.
Great location in the centre of Scotland. Stirling castle, battle of bannockburn and the Wallace monument are just 3 of the historical sights close by. Kings park gold course is lovely to walk around offering glorious views across the castle.
Lovely farm shops with cafes close by.
The gateway to the highlands for those wanting to see more.
Had a fantastic experience stating at Castlecroft. We used Stirling as a stop off point both on our trip up to and on our journey into Scotland. We were not disappointed and really glad that we'd decided to stay again on our return trip. My partner commented that everything was exactly as you'd want it. Loved the fruit salad at b'fast (put one of the expensive hotels we stayed at to shame). Enjoyed visit to castle also. Great rooms, good parking, really friendly and relaxed host, and most amazing breakfasts.
Richard and his team made us feel welcome and comfortable the minute we arrived. The room was beautiful and comfortable..the view of Stirling Castle was a bonus! From in room snacks to guest umbrellas, The Allan Park goes above and beyond with hospitality. We walked to the castle in about 20 minutes, and it was an easy walk to downtown. Saving the best for last: the food was delicious. We ended up eating here 3 times during our stay because the food was so good!
Bed was comfortable, complimentary tea + biscuits,
body wash in the shower. Nice area, close to city centre,
free parking. Staff was very friendly, allowed late check
out and sorted our issue with non working key card immediately.
Very good budget hotel to stay over while making trips around central Scotland.
really appreciated the effort to be more environmentally friendly!
The property was easy to find & a short drive to Blair Drummond, Stirling Castle & the centre of Stirling. It is very clean & spacious. The recommendations for eating were appreciated & we enjoyed a delicious takeaway. The property is in a quiet area. The beds were comfy & there were blackout blinds in each bedroom. The living room was cosy with plenty of seating.
Room was comfortable, staff were all really friendly and helpful, breakfast was great (lots of choice, especially nice fresh fruit), location is lovely being in the middle of the university grounds (during Easter holidays so really quite with most students away). Great location for going into Stirling and all the countryside around.
Lovely guest house in the city centre. It is typical British shabby chic, so don’t expect the Sheridan hotel, but it was absolutely perfect for our need and would always book again. The breakfast cheap and yummy, the kids liked it. Staff very friendly and helpful. There was plenty coffee and tea and toiletries available
Excellent, very clean apartment in location close to centre. Very impressed with the modern bathroom and kitchen and all the little extras. Also impressed with the large screen TV compared with the tiny TV we had in a hotel on last visit to Stirling - well worth the extra money paid compared to that hotel room.
This is a hotel to stay in while on a road trip--not a destination hotel. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The only food service in the hotel area is a vending machine. Check in is at the restaurant in the next parking lot. The restaurant breakfast that we paid for was adequate.
Lovely historic hotel in great location in central Stirling. We stayed in a "family" room that was perfect for our group of 4. The facilities were lovely, breakfast was great, and people friendly. Would recommend to anyone. It was a short & easy walk from the train station.
We didn’t plan on being in Stirling, but it ended up being the highlight of our trip. The hotel is located centrally and the breakfast downstairs was delicious! The staff were very kind and accommodating. The room was cozy, clean, and lent itself to a wonderful evening of rest.
fantastic castle old town location, great fully equipped rooms. clean, modern and well presented. Large secure free carpark and excellent full Scottish breakfast. It was also unbelievable value for money, we paid £57 for night in a city centre 4 star hotel with free parking!
Exactly as shown in pictures. Perfect for our needs. We wanted a clean, tidy, bolt-hole for a weekend exploring the area, and that is what we got. This was much more convenient than a hotel and having an apartment was home from home. Host was very communicative and helpful.
I like the location of the hotel.
The staff really work hard. The food is good quality and value for money.
Stirling City centre is not that far away.
Attractions are plentiful and leaflets are available at the hotel and the Bannockburn King Robert the Bruce centre.
Great location (castle and city centre at walking distance), secure parking very appreciated, The hotel has some interesting historical background.
Great value for money.
I enjoyed the bar.
Very friendly staff both at reception and at bar/restaurant
The view from the room was beautiful, with a corner window as a bonus.
The location was perfect. A five minute walk to the town jail and 10 minute walk to Stirling Castle.
The old building was very interesting.
The hotel is very nice and the staff excellent. Breakfast was lovely. Location wS very good for Thistle Centre and restaurants. However if you are going to Stirling Castle area - take a taxi.
Stuart is a fantastic host, the Ravenswood is clean and quiet. It is walking to Stirling City Center in one direction and other shops/restaurants in the other.
