Rooms and hotel are very clean and to a high standard. The beds were extremely comfortable. Would definitely say this hotel deserves more than the three star rating

My mum was born in Carfin, and we visited relatives there quite frequently - mostly passed on now. My wife and I were on our way to a holiday in the highlands so we decided to break our journey in Motherwell.
I was last there about fifty years ago, so everywhere was very different! Was nice being back...

Staff were doing a job, sometimes reluctantly i found.
Staff were doing a job, sometimes reluctantly i found. I know the problem with recruiting staff at the moment and retaining them but really someone should be overseeing their interaction with the public, nevr mind initial training.

It was a one night stop off to break a long journey.
It was a one night stop off to break a long journey. TBH it was about what I expected for the money paid. The plus was the resturaunt the food was suprisingly good & saved having to hunt around for something to eat in an unknown area in a wet night. As a budget stay, pretty good.

Lovely hotel for a stop over, we traveled from Wigan and arrived at hotel late so night porter booked s in, they were expecting us so book in was fast and easy just what you want after a long trip. room was lovely and comfortable only tiny little negative could have had done with more milk for night/morning brew.
The location is super handy, situated close to the M74. Ideally for people traveling into Glasgow or surrounding areas. There’s a gorgeous Loch behind the hotel which is handy if you fancy a walk or a run. The room was extremely clean and decorated to a high standard. The Toby Carvery was amazing as well so you don’t really need to leave the site once you’re there if you’re only staying overnight for work like I was. Will 100% be staying again next time I’m in Scotland - really pleased I came across this place.
The apartment is well equipped with everything you would need. Unexpected little items such as washing up liquid, bubble bath, shower gel etc to name a few were a lovely touch. The towel art swans with the biscuits and chocolates were amazing. Will definitely consider using again when we come to Scotland for our annual family trips. We arrived into Scotland earlier than check in time and was able to gain access early too. Brilliant!
The bed was soooo comfortable. I don't know what they do differently than the hotels, but the bed was 10 times better than the standard hotel beds.
Seemed a bargain at the rate I paid and conveniently close to where I needed to be. Everything was done electronically and I never saw a single employee of the establishment. That can be good or bad depending on your preference.
The people are the #1.
Everyone with a smile and willing to help you always.
The Full Scottish breakfast delicious and other bites too.
Warm atmosphere all around living with history attached plus modern parts like our suite with large impeccable bathrooms and everything. I have my wife and daughter staying at the Moorings another week and every year in Motherwell, Scotland.
Best hotel I have stayed in when in Glasgow. Boarders a beautiful park, free parking/£5 taxi ride to train station. Quiet hotel, safe, ironing board, trouser press+usual room facilities; breakfast in room option, lots of choice at breakfast. Staff attentive and very helpful. Highly recommend it. Added bonus if you come as a family, there is an amusement park next door.
Connected to the Toby Carvery, on the edge of Strathclyde Country Park and M74 motorway, this is the perfect location for a relaxing meal, a few beers and to retire to an above-standard room. I live a mere ten miles from this hotel and use it as an escape from the city. Excellent all-round value.
Welcoming staff. Just an easy short walk from the railway station. Modern, clean and spacious rooms. Very good bar/restaurant within the hotel serving delicious freshly-cooked meals at good prices. Booking half-board provides even better value.
I was totally impressed with this hotel. The place was very grand with a great bar and restaurant area. The whole hotel is very well presented and the rooms are of a very high standard and staff very polite... Plus great EV Charging point.
Lovely hotel very central for Glasgow and Edinburgh. Didn't spend much time in hotel as was visiting family. Room cleaned daily water bottles replaced daily. Would definitely recommend this hotel to other. Price range was reasonable.
The hotel was very nice, quiet and well positioned away from the town centre. The meal was very good as well although we would have had one on the Sunday had it not been for the attitude of reception staff towards us.
Great hotel for the price. Easily as good as more expensive hotels I've stayed in. With a Full Breakfast included, Its a no brainer. If I'm Staying over in Motherwell The Bentley is my go to Hotel
