The property was very clean and well presented.
The owner changed our room to one on the ground floor when I mentioned that I find stairs a little difficult.

I loved everything about it, the location, the quietness, just what I needed to take time out!
My room was equipped with everything anyone could possibly need and if it wasn’t in the room and it’s listed my hosts Richard and Judith could bring it!
Brilliant big shower, a fantastic comfy bed, light & airy and windows to open to let fresh air in and the sound of the birds singing in the morning!
I stayed 2 nights and I didn’t want to leave, it was perfect!
The surroundings were stunning, very well kept & beautiful plants & fields to look over!
Richard and Judith are amazing hosts, friendly, welcoming and ready to help if needed!
Thank you both so much

Louth is fine as a town, very easy to reach and set in pleasant countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Easy access to the coastal towns and Caldwell Park motor racing circuit.

Louth is a nice, small market town.
Louth is a nice, small market town. There are lots of places to eat covering lots of different cuisines, whether you eat in or grab a take away. The old town around the church has many character properties. The Wheatsheaf was our favourite pub - it does only serve food at lunchtime. The Montebello Tistorante was good. We also had a Chinese takeaway from a restaurant just the other side of Morrisions and that was very good.
The market itself was very disappointing, even on a Saturday, although I believe there is a more periodic farmers' market which might be better.

We attended a charity function so we didn't visit louth itself. The hotel and breakfast were very nice the staff were very pleasant the room was a good size and very comfortable. Plenty of car parking spaces. All I would say to the hotel is to ensure guests are made aware that they only take card payments they won't accept cash.we went as a group of four people unfortunately I was the only one with a card so ended up going to the bar on every occasion certainly got my steps in that night.

Louth is a lovely old market town with various types of shops, pubs and eateries. Ye Olde White Swan is highly recommended. There is also a lovely walk along the canal which has a small quaint pub somewhere along the route too. You really must find it! The church is a sight you most definitely must see.

Louth has lots of lovely independent shops and the chain shops feel rural and local.
Several great pubs...Cobbles being a favourite.
Nice food in the Kings Head too.
Not been in a bad restaurant there when I visit and as my brother and mother both live there it's a lot.
Not too far from the coast if you enjoy that too.
A fabulous hotel, the contents and "treasures" in all the rooms downstairs was stunning. Full of individuality and very special. Excellent location, walking distance to the centre of Louth. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much bother, and they would all talk to you! Some places we've stayed in we have felt like an interruption in their busy day, but not here. Special mention to Thomas for laying our breakfast out on the big dining room table in the breathtaking library room.
I liked a lot about this hotel inc. the small details such as the toiletries, the fact the room had a window that opened to let fresh air in, but that it also had a decent radiator so the heating was controlled easily. The hotel corridors weren't noisy. The room was nicely lit, not too bright like some places can be. I had a really good night sleep. The food was really tasty both in the evening and for breakfast. All the staff I encountered were really friendly and helpful.
We have been to the Brackenborough a number of times before and have always loved the friendliness of the staff and the homely atmosphere of the hotel. It has only just reopened, but was as slick as ever with all COVID precautions observed by the staff. Room excellent and clean, nothing too much trouble and both dinner and breakfast could not be faulted. Oh and it’s also near to the beautiful town of Louth which is well worth a visit. Go visit!!

Host informed us well in advance on key collection. Gill was great at keeping us informed. The cottage had eveything and more. We loved being able to walk into Louth and on the Lincolnshire Wolds without ever using the car. Louth provided everything you could need. Independant shops and great pubs. The area was lovely peaceful and clean the locals were very friendly.
Rooftops is an absolute gem! We were visiting friends and relatives in Lincolnshire and wanted a base in Louth. This property was perfect - beautifully furnished and attention to detail was second to none. The view of the church was delightful and we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay
