Nice view from the bedroom we stayed in but window filthy and covered in dirty fingerprints.
The waitress was very friendly.
At some point they have clearly spent some money on using Harris Tweed furnishings in the bedroom but these were absent anywhere else in the hotel- the rest of the hotel had no nice features. Just very tired and run down.

Loved this place.
Great location.
The Toolshed has everything you need.
Barbara has really thought about what travellers require.
Kitchen had all the utensils you could ever need. The bedroom was comfy, nice mattress so slept really comfortable.
Nice modern bathroom too.
Great to have fast broadband and all the apps on the TV.
There is a coop next door which stays open till 10pm. It has everything you need to make a meal. Or if you don't want to cook you can buy convenience foods.
Great location for exploring the South or North .
Thank you Barbara, very relaxing place to stay
All towns in Outer Hebrides are very small. Daliburgh is a great location close enough to multiple harbours and on the main road. The shop has exceptionally long opening hours and is well stocked (Co-op). Buses are running too and fairly frequently. Good walks nearby.

Attention-to-detail by the owners, a winning recipe from a traveller's point of view. We wish the owners every success - it is clearly well-deserved!
Breakfast was cooked-to-order and scrumptious!
You do need a car to travel around on this island.

We were actually based on Isle of Lewis, but this accommodation was cheap enough that we could have one extra night on the South islands, to explore the Uists, Benbecula, Eriskay, Barra, and Vatersay without having to rush back for a same day sailing.
Would definitely do the same again, with my next group of travellers.
would recommend nearby Loch Skipport with it's Shetland ponies to anyone visiting, and a trip to Barra to watch the 15 seater plane landing on beach, awesome!

Good central location for south Uist.
Good central location for south Uist. The Borrodale arms is within walking distance for food/drink. Scottish beer is awful so choose wine/lager! Food is OK but if you have transport, the Lochboisedale Hotel and the Polochar are marginally better.
