Bradford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town, lots of nice canal and river walks, but the town itself, has been spoiled by heavy traffic. Still worth a visit once you're away from the traffic. We visited several national trust properties, very good base if you like to do that sort of thing.

Lovely small town in the local stone, great to walk around, although there's a big hill to get up on the way back to the digs.
We'll be coming back when we have more time so we can go for a walk along the canal.
After a longish walk, stop in the Stumble Inn for a warm welcome in a quiet pub - it's well worth it!

Walked down hill to get to the centre to find some where to have dinner on Sunday evening.
Struggled back up the hill, rather steep.
Ate at Ravello, good food.
Walked around the church area.
Sure more available other days and earlier in the day.

Lots of character and interesting shops.
Lots of character and interesting shops. Choice of eating establishments. Plenty of places for children and dogs. Parking could be a problem. Proximity to river and canal. Plenty of opportunities for walking. Narrow streets cause driving challenges! Lots of charity shops have opened in the past few years. Some interesting historical places to see.

Lots to see, most places easy to access, local artists and creators well supported, unusual and historical architecture, friendly locals, lots of amenities, dog friendly locations, regular bus and trains, lovely canal and boats, tythe barn, Saxon church, vehicular and pedestrian bridges, easy walk around the centre of the town as mainly flat (some more adventurous walks available if interested) , not too crowded (it was January) and easy to get to the centre and find parking, day trips on canal if you are not confident enough to skipper your own

Helen's breakfasts were excellent! Locally sourced sausages, bacon, eggs and all the other foods were fresh and tasty! This property is off the main road, thus very peaceful and relaxing. A great pub is only minutes away! Our room was exceptionally clean and cozy. This is an active farm, and we loved the sheep and animals nearby, with the big event being witness to a new-born lamb! If you enjoy hiking, stay here as there are so many trails to explore. Bath, Bradford, and many other sites are very close-by as well. Highly recommended!!!!
Great set up - really thoughtfully laid out and nice finishing touches in a pretty location with beautiful canal and riverside walk into Bradford on Avon. Super clean, nice quality bedding and fixtures, space and privacy with best of both worlds as bed and breakfast with space and fridge and tables (inside and out) to eat in. Hosts could not be obliging. fantastic plentiful breakfast- best mushrooms ever and heard others say best all time black pudding!
The hotel stands in very attractive grounds and gardens. We had a lovely room - spacious, comfortable and clean. It was just a short distance from Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon. We enjoyed the canal walks and the beautiful architecture in both towns, though Bradford is particularly special - a mini Bath.
We ate in the restaurant and found the food and service to be excellent.
We would definitely return when next in the area.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They rectified as best they could any difficulties we had in the room regarding lighting and the provision of a mirror. I will definitely be returning when we visit family in Bradford on Avon. Cosy accommodation with fires in bar area and dining area. Really lovely olde worlde listed building.
A stylish, boutique- style hotel in a quiet location close to Bradford on Avon. The rooms are spacious with proper bathrooms (shower and tub) and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent: good choices and high quality ingredients. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The gin bar and swimming pool are bonuses!

The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. The room was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. The pool was gorgeous and a lovely temperature. The gym was super and overlooked the pool. Breakfast was a good quality and a fantastic selection. Definitely will be back :) very dog friendly.
The Swan is close to everything one could want or need in Bradford on Avon. The gorgeous River is right outside the back of the establishment and is surrounded by lovely shops and restaurants. It's also a very short walk to the train station. It was clean and the staff was very friendly.
Herb is situated about 2 miles north of Bradford on Avon, off the main road and down a country lane. If you're after peace and quiet in a rural setting then it's for you. My room was large and had en suite. The breakfast was more than adequate and host friendly and helpful.
The location is good. Bradford on Avon is a friendly, attractive town. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean. There is an attractive Italian restaurant named Ravello, which I highly recommend (opposite Timbrells Yard)
I liked the location - Bradford-on-Avon was a fabulous find! We have never been there before and we shall definitely be returning, though sadly not to the Swan Hotel! The only plus side of this venue was the nice drink and dining area.
This is a quirky four room hotel in the centre of town, above a pub. Our room was large, airy, and comfortable. The free breakfast consisted of a bottle of fresh milk, a box of cornflakes, and bottle of juice. Not bad!
Dick was a wonderful host and gave us a great recommendation to walk the nearby canal path into Bradford then take the train to Bath for a day of sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!
Small idyllic location that gives a one to one personal touch that you won’t get from a mainstream hotel. Staff are kind and look after you and were willing to accommodate speacil request.
