We cannot recommend this lovely BnB highly enough. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious yet homely and fitted with everything we needed. Our towels were replaced and tea and coffee were replenished everyday. There is a beautiful garden out back where we enjoyed a cream tea that awaited us on arrival. Breakfast was exceptional. Our hosts were welcoming and very accommodating to our plans. Bampton is a lovely little village and a great location for exploring Devon. Parking was easy with the car park opposite with an honesty box. We would love to visit again.

quiet country location, beautiful view of field and sheep from bedroom window. The host was excellent. The owner texted me, prior to my arrival warning me of a difficulty with the access to the farm and advising of a different route. At breakfast the owner paid particular attention to my very necessary dietary needs and went way above my expectations .

To be honest we didn't have much time for sightseeing as it was purely to move things for my son! However, it's a very pretty village and lots of places to visit round and about. We are looking forward to seeing more next time. We did have a very good meal at avenue nearby. Not short of places to eat. Regards parking there is a general car park near The Swan, where you pay a small fee for all day.

Well I think my stay was unique as I was visiting my son and co-incidentally he was living near the village where I grew up, Bampton. I had a really good look round and - surprisingly, but wonderfully, it was
very little changed. It 'felt' the same, but it has a feeling of progress having taken place, but very subtly. I want into nearly every shop and found everyone extremely friendly. I bought a book written by a local historian (in the local game butchers!!) about Bampton over the last 150 years+. The first page I opened had a picture of me in the school
net ball team, and another of my form at school. A lovely place with an affluent feel.

STAFF IN ALL THE SHOPS, BARS & RESTAURANTS WERE VERY FRIENDLY. THE TOUCAN CAFE SERVED THE BEST BREAKFAST AT A GOOD PRICE. THE OWNER- CHEF & HIS WIFE OFFERED EXCELLENT SERVICE. VERY CLEAN TOWN.
Bampton is a good base to explore the Devon countryside. We stayed here whilst doing cycle route 3 and it was a great place to relax and get cleaned up after a long day on our bikes. We were kindly allocated a bigger room than the one we’d booked. Room and ensuite both v clean and pleasant. The guest pantry was well stocked and we had an excellent dinner at The Swan. Bed comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. We enjoyed our stay and have recommended the Ginger Peanut to others.
What a brilliant discovery, this is far more than a B&B, more small boutique hotel. Exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms (three in total). We stayed in Exe which overlooks the courtyard kitchen garden. If you want more space and a beautiful spacious bathroom with roll top bath then book Batherm.
Caroline the host could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is amazing!
Really enjoyed my stay at the Swan. Lovely pub with great accommodation. Loved the welcome snacks and amenities. I thought the staff were wonderful and super helpful (special thanks to Paul for all his help!). Breakfast was also very good!
Location perfect - Bampton is lovely. I’m only sad that I didn’t have a chance to try the food!
