The room was spacious, immaculately clean, comfortable and quiet. The cooked breakfast was well cooked and very well presented. A good range of elements was included - all of a good standard. The house itself is elegant and the owner was extremely helpful

If you don’t want to drive there is a bus service with stops close to the holiday home. Some lovely shops and eateries in Auchterarder. Easy to get to the nearby little village of Dunning, Perth, Falkirk, Stirling etc if you can drag yourselves away from the Gleneagles estate. Lots to do there - including the golf of course - or just sit back, relax and enjoy a good book in the natural surroundings. The holiday home has excellent facilities for self catering or alternatively the Gleneagles Hotel offers excellent dining facilities and is only about 500 yards away from your base.
Would highly recommend.

The Jubilee walk in and around the Town plus beautiful parks, very easy to gain access to all shops and restraunts.
All the eating facilities looked excellent but we did not frequent them, as the facilities in kitchen were excellent at Craig Rossie Cottage, so we did not need to eat out.
There was nothing that we didn't like or needed to avoid

Avoid room 8, The headboard is on the stairs wall and the room is above the restaurant.
Lovely grounds with information boards about the different trees etc.
The leisure facilities are brilliant with the best massage in Scotland in the opinion of my wife.
Ideal accommodation for 2 people and excellent base for visiting various locations around Perthshire with added bonus of being located in beautiful grounds of Gleneagles Hotel. Very clean, comfortable and well appointed accommodation.
Very good communication with hosts and easy access arrangements.
Nearest town Auchterarder and village Blackford simple to reach by public bus service with bus stop (at Gleneagles trades entrance) only 5 mins walk from property.
The lodge was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The garden was well kept and a great area for our dogs. Loved the hobbit hut at the bottom of the garden although didn't use it. Everyone we met on the site was welcoming and friendly. The hosts were especially accommodating when I asked if they could put up some banners for our arrival as the stay was a surprise for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. Would 100% recommend and stay again.
The property is beautiful accommodating to our needs friendly and personable. A family oriented hotel! Country club atmosphere. The staff manager Iris and staff member Angus made it possible for us to have our comforts met! The grounds are classic and very well kept with a multitude of activities available. However the warm sitting areas are excellent for reading and relaxing near a warm fireplace. The restaurants and bars are very good!
The location is absolutely stunning. We stayed in a lodge (709) and the views across to the hotel were idyllic. The accommodation was superb, large rooms and a great place for us to stay overnight. The facilities were great also. The staff went out of their way to help and the breakfast was one of our highlights (the pancake maker was a hit!). Our 2nd time in a few months, lovely to see it with all the Christmas lights.
The breakfast was a great experience and indulgent.
The room was well appointed with a fireplace and good decors.
But we could see the car park and there were no plants / foliage in the balcony to offset this.
Also the king bed and duvet seemed like 2 singles had been attached . Was unusual that the duvet had this too.
The hotel does offer a lot to do . The staff are accommodating and friendly.
Apartment was stylish and very clean. The location was ideal for us to celebrate an occasion at Gleneagles hotel. The rooms were all great in size and the huge bed was very comfortable.
Pleasant views from the window and with binoculars were able to see many birds including a woodpecker. We also saw deer grazing in the woodland.
The forge is a fantastic guest house in a beautiful location.
Lesley is a wonderful host and could not be any more accomodating.
The breakfast was beautifully prepared and plentiful, the room was modern and tastefully decorated, a real home from home.
Would not hesitate to return again, when we are in the area.
This apartment is on the door step of the 5 star Gleneagles hotel , immense location The apartment was so stylish. The attention to detail was outstanding . Everything was 1st class beautiful white company toiletries the most amazing bathrobes it was like walking into a 5 star apartment. We will be back
Beautiful accommodation in a quiet area of Auchterarder. Laura and Shirley were fantastic hosts. Lodge was spotless, had everything we needed for a self catering stay, lots of books and games for our wee one. Was a lovely relaxing stay at start of the new year, and we will definitely be back!
Lovely house with everything you need in it. Great location to use going on days out, but also has local facilities close by. Second time staying and will go again
