The breakfast was exceptionally good. The staff were pretty friendly. The room was quite spacious and the view was pleasant as we could see the mountains. There was a cosy play area for kids. They offered us a tourist card though we didn’t use it.

In a welcome note the manager said "welcome to our little paradise by the lake" and it certainly was. The view was perfect, the staff so so welcoming and the perfect location for touring the area (we even got as far as Grindelwald on one day trip). Our breakfast each morning was lovely and really set us up for the day. The hotel has a beautiful garden to relax in for morning coffee or an evening drink. we only had dinner once in the hotel but it was superb, I would give it a food guides star!!
Finally and to mention the staff again, they made our perfect stay a fantastic stay.......thank you so much.

Loved the comfy beds and gorgeous views, the quiet after everyone not at the hotel had gone, watching the sun set and then rise, the friendly staff and the excellent breakfast.

breakfast was generous and full of options. eggs were only available after 9am due to internal meetings before..I thought that was rather unusual.

5 star accommodation! Exceptional staff and spacious rooms. Great location 👌
Beautiful area, with views of stunning lakes. Mount Pilatus was spectacular to hike on. Both the cogwheel train ride up to the top and the aerial tram ride down were wonderful. Mount Pilatus offers stunning views of the area and very easy hiking on nearly level paths, with good stairs between different areas, for people of all ages and abilities. Spectacular!

Quieter and cheaper than Lucerne.
Quieter and cheaper than Lucerne. If you plan to go to Mount Pilatus, it is quite handy leaving from Alpnach as you go against most of the tourists. You can walk to the cogwheel train (the steepest in the World) and the boat and regular train stops here also.

Though we arrived late (2300+) they waited for us and had a wonderful room prepared - spacious and comfortable with a great shower. Our breakfast was typically continental and okay, nothing really special. We would certainly stay there again.
