Great location - across the road from the railway station, and easy access to walking or tram car exploration of the town. The breakfast was exceptional compared to similarly priced hotels we experienced in our slow meander through Japan.

A great hotel just across the road from the train station.
A great hotel just across the road from the train station. Close to other attractions eg the fish market. The room was a great size and big compared to other Japanese rooms we have stayed.
The breakfast was wonderful - a mix of Japanese and Western food.
The staff were friendly.
We wished we could have stayed longer but we only stayed for a night as a stop over.

Planned for 1 night stay; however while we arrived at Hakodate in the morning, there was unfortunately a slight snow storm that impeded our evening and night touring! And the storm continued till next morning and in the afternoon we left Hakodate for Sapporo, so didn't have the chance to see what we have planned.

We stayed overnight at Hakodate travelling from and back to Sapporo. We got to enjoy the morning seafood market that we were looking forward to and got to visit other places of interest on our drive from and back to Sapporo.
The visits to Mt Hakodate Observatory and Goryokaku Tower were enjoyable and it was also a good thing that the weather was cooperated and we had clear views of the city and sea.

Hakodate is a lovely place to explore if you enjoy Hokkaido seafood. It is a costal city and beautiful in autumn. I explored the city taking the trams and walking. The Red Brick Warehouse is a great place to shop and eat. The streets are super clean and easy to walk. The parks are beautiful with autumn coloured trees and flowers.

I heard so much about the sweet melon.
I heard so much about the sweet melon. Bought a slice at Y400 to try it out. Rather disappointed. Not sweet.
Have to beware about the price difference between sellers for crabs.
Knowing Y per Kg helps.
breakfast was lovely , times to use the onsen were accommodating. From Hakodate station take tram number 5 and it’ll drop you off 3mins walk from the hotel. I forgot my charger and the hotel forwarded it to my next hotel free of charge. The staff were very nice and spoke good English. Chang was amazing and made my first ryokan stay a special one. The hotel does have a card machine, disregard what it says on booking.com.
Our room was upgraded to triple share, which was great. We needed the extra space for our luggages, etc.
Plenty of towels & toiletries. There was an ice machine in the lobby area. The location is great. 3 mins walk from Hakodate train station & bus terminal. There are plenty of eateries & minimarts around the hotel. We also had a nice view of the sea port. Would stay here again, next time.
Onsen was really nice. The hotel has a corner of soft serve ice-cream and sparkling wine. I love how comfy this hotel is. It was clean and the large room included drip coffee for your morning. I am booking a tatami room and twin room. Both are comfy. The staff is really polite even not good in english but she try to communicate with me. This hotel is quiet and relaxing in Hakodate.
The hot springs at this hotel absolutely sold me. I used numerous hotel public baths on our two week trip to Japan, and this hotel's was by far the best. The rooms are typical for a business hotel. I liked the robes and slipper style they provided. It is easily walkable from the Hakodate train station and seafood market. I'd love to stay here again.
The property is only 5 minutes from Hakodate Station which makes it very convenient for travellers.
Shiyakusho-mae and Hakodate Ekimae are the nearest tram station (only 2mins walk). The tram / street car will take you to all famous spots in Hakodate.
There are some konbini near the hotel. I had everyhing I needed. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you
Hotel is at the best location, near red brick warehouse, bay, lucky burger and famous slope. I stayed in the bunk bed room with shared bathroom. It's perfectly clean!!! hairdryers are provided both in private room and shared bathroom. You can eat at shared kitchen at highest floor with nice view. Staff is nice and they can speak English.
It's a great location, 2 minutes walk from Sapporo station; quite a lot of eating places other than Hakodate Market; room size was small, accommodating two persons was impossible, however, the hotel chose quality pillows, so...; breakfast was buffet-style, not great but sufficient; staff was polite and helpful, that part was great.
I have to say a big thank you to the staff. My mom forgot the room number and got lost in the hotel. To find her, we caused lots of trouble to staff. But they show patience and professionalism. This group are so helpful. Thanks. I will book this hotel again if I had a chance to visit Hakodate again.
good size room for Japan. New hotel adjacent to JR Hakodate station. exceptionally clean hotel with Onsen on 2nd floor, breakfast was very good with a wide variety of dishes. easy access to train and sightseeing buses and able to walk down to morning fish markets and busy restaurant area
Good for a relaxed stay as it’s some walk to Hakodate station but good for people who love to walk as major tourists spots are not far from hotel and there’s also a bus station just outside of the hotel which can take to most major tourists areas including hakodate station
Super friendly staff.
They did absolutely more than expected 👏.
Very kind and warm hearted people.
My room in japanese style was so cozy.
It felt safe and like a home.
I will for sure come to this Hotel again if I ever stay in Hakodate in the future.
The Hotel is located not far from Hakodate station, there is a local supermarket next to the hotel, and the room size is a normal business hotel standard, and clean with all the necessary items.
The location was so convenient because we arrived by train and the hotel is right there. We were delighted to have a view of the area around the station, the sea and Mt.Hakodate.
New and modern specious room which suits family travel. Ideal location within walking distance to JR Hakodate and Hakodate Morning Market. Free parking right next to the hotel.
Lovely hotel in Hakodate. Comfy beds, good onsen and fabulous breakfast, with grill master, all kinds of fish, and seafood. Great experience. I would love to stay there longer.
comfortable and near the Hakodate station and morning market. The room so nice view and have a cd player to play the song. Convenient store behind the hotel
