We really enjoyed the customer service. The staff were exceptional, especially Sameera, Nan Thiri Mon, Viraj and Lakmal. These are the names we know, but all staff were lovely. We did have a lovely room, one of the best in the hotel. Our best food in the hotel was the food prepared by the poolside bar.

We stayed at this hidden gem with our family of 4 during a rainy period. The hotel and garden are beautiful and clean. The view is amazing. It’s located outside of the city, which we really liked because it was peaceful.
The personnel of this hotel were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, more than enough food. We had dinner once in the restaurant and recommend to try the Sri Lanka curry.
My oldest son, my husband and I had a very relaxing afternoon getting a spa treatment very good with reasonable price. This place is definitely worth a visit.

A cultural eye-opener.
A cultural eye-opener. Lots to see and do - but most major attractions are spread far from one another. Expect to take a couple full days touring Kandy and the surrounding areas. Two of my strongest recommendations: the British Was Cemetery. The caretaker has tended the graveyard for decades and knows each detail about each soul laid to rest. Also a sight worth seeing is Peradeniya University. A remarkable campus that lives up to its reputation as one of the nicest in all of South Asia.

The botanical gardens was amazing and really value to visit.
The botanical gardens was amazing and really value to visit. I didn't interested to see the famous temple and another one important thing is in commuting hours the traffic jam was remarkable and every one should calculate staying in the traffic in their schedule .

Transit point to big attractions in Sri Lanka. Ie.
Transit point to big attractions in Sri Lanka. Ie. Ella, Sigriya, Dambulla and Polonaruwa. Gateway to mountainous region of Sri Lanka. Kandy is also a historical town with famous Temple of Tooth. This town is best served with affordable eateries and several modes of transportation. Cooler weather compared to the Sri Lankan capital city, Colombo.
Very nice new hotel very close to the Kandy lake and to the city center. From the Kandy station it is possible to reach the hotel with a 20/25 minutes walk or with a short ride in a tuk tuk.
The rooms are quite big and provides all the necessary amenities. Bonus point for the shower with very nice pressure and very hot water (this was an exception considering the other hotel where we stayed during our trip in Sri Lanka).
The staff of the hotel has been very available to help us during our stay and to organise the next stage of our trip.
This was a peaceful and beautiful corner in busy Kandy. The room was spacious, with huge terrace, lots of windows, perfect view. The bathroom very comfortable and modern. The hotel is brand new with beautiful details. The breakfast was the best for us during our long journey in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan specialities, with a lot of explanation about local cuisine, ingredients. The hotel owner was super helpful, we got a lot of good ideas for our journey. The location is perfect, just above busy Kandy, on the hillside, 5 mins from Lake.
Amazing landscape was 100 times more than expectation!!
Cleanliness of the whole facility in the hotel was more than expectation!
Speediness of the service was perfect!
all staffs were very friendly, cooperative, professional!
Best room i stayed in my life!!!!
Food was most delicious in all hotels where i stayed in Sri Lanka.
Roof top restaurant was perfect location. I maybe took more than 100 pictures during my stay
Best location close to downtown (5 minutes by tuktuk).
Kids park is located 5 minutes by walk.
We had an excellent stay, and Suzy and her husband “B” were fantastic hosts. This is a very special property that is beautifully decorated with unique furnishings. The property is a short bus or Tuk Tuk ride from town. The food was delicious, and Suzy’s cooking class was a highlight of our trip. The dining area is in a lush tropical jungle-like setting. Suzy and “B” helped with travel details and gave excellent suggestions on what to do around the area. We highly recommend Kandyan Manor Home Stay!
If you are looking for a bit secluded location in Kandy, this might be the right choice. The property is located on the hill with narrow roads leading to it, booking a tuktuk or a car is recommended. Walking from downtown Kandy is also doable and takes about 30 mins. The owners, a family, are very welcoming and kitchen here is very tasty! Rooms are modern and of superior quality, totally up to western standards. Garden had beautifully bloooming trees, which added to the overall experience :)
This is a cosy, charming & friendly place in the hill capital Kandy. Just a short drive from the city centre, it's nested on one side of overlooking the Hanthana mountains range We loved staying in the Grand Hills hotel. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning view at the mountains. Nice pool. Good wifi, breakfast & dinner delicious. beautiful Garden. Excellent service. bedroom, bathroom private balcony spotless clean. Definitely our best stay in Sri Lanka.
Great view from the breakfast terrace; one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in Sri Lanka, amazing daal! Host was very friendly and happy to help with organising tuktuk/asking about our travel plans etc.
Think we were in one of the older style rooms, which was still nice but not as big as photos on booking.com! Still, very happy with the stay and good value. 10-15 tuktuk to the main town; very hilly but drivers don’t seem to mind!
Villa Rosa is quietly located on the mountains above Kandy. We didn't miss anything during our 2-day stay. The staff is very attentive. The rooms are very clean and spacious. We received a free upgrade from the property. The hotel offers to look over the shoulder of the chef. It's really worth it. We got some ideas to take home. This hotel was the nicest hotel of our trip through Sri Lanka. We'd love to come back.
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Kandy. It's location is fantastic. It is a two minute walk to the Temple of the Tooth and town centre, but when we were in our room it was very quiet and peaceful, although we didn't have a view, but didn't need one. The staff were very polite and friendly. Our breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. I would so recommend this hotel if you are staying in Kandy.
This property is just a small amazing jungle oase in the middle of Kandy. I’ve been traveling for 10 years and its probably the most beautiful hotel i’ve stayed in. It has it all, from a nice refreshing pool, to hidden and super cozy chill areas, super clean and comfortable rooms, breathtaking selfmade art hidden everywhere all surrounded by hundreds of exotic plants creates the best possible atmosphere.
Room was very spacious, clean and with all the amenities you would find in a good hotel. All the rooms seem newly built and well maintained. Close to Kandy town but located in a quiet and scenic area with really great views especially from the rooftop pavilion which also serves as the dining area. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Lunch and dinner was available upon request.
We Love this Hotel!!!
It is located perfectly so that you can walk to town in less then 5 mins but is up a hill looking over Kandy lake- away from the noisy city.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean.
It is family run and very welcoming. After staying here twice in one month we feel like part of the family ❤️
Best breakfast and best hosts!!
We will be back 😁
The hotel is new and everything looks like it's all renovated. Nice rooms with a spectacular view from the balcony. There is a nice terrace upstairs where breakfast is served. The staff are super nice and attentive. The location is also good and far from the crowded Kandy but it is walkable distance. I recommend staying in this hotel while you're in Kandy.
Beautiful hotel up in the hills out of town. Comfortable rooms and facilities including rooftop pool looking out into the Kandy valley.
Staff could not do enough for us. Just when you start to wonder where the heck this place is… you come around a cnr and it sits majestically in the side of the mountain… amazing views.
The word that comes to mind is classy. Beautifully appointed comfortable room. Impeccably clean. The balcony has a view of the garden and surrounding hills. Wifi was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Good location within walking distance to town and a few temples. Gracious and helpful hosts.Look no further!
Great central location in a peaceful area near the lake. 15 minutes walk from the temple. Clean room, comfortable bed, cold air-conditioning, English TV channels, ok wifi, shower has good water pressure and plenty of hot water. I've stayed in three different hotels in Kandy, and this is my favorite.
Small family guesthouse, a lot of thought and care has gone into the rooms, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the best shower we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! Hosts are lovely, and there is a beautiful view of the Kandy hills from the breakfast table.
Daham and Nilusha were terrific, amongst the best hosts we've met in Sri Lanka.
The place is clean and very quiet with a nice view on the hills aroud the city centre. in the middle of a green area, just fiew minutes away by scooter from the hasty centre of Kandy
