This place is super clean, the staff are ridiculously nice and accommodating. You're a 20 min walk from Baleal, but at that price you can't really complain and the food in ferrel was better anyway.

Peniche Surf House is a great place to stay. From there, it is only 5 minitrs to walk to the beach. Luis is a great host and there people staying there were also good company. I would recommend staying here!

What can I say... it was actually perfect! Our hosts were great at checking we were happy with everything. They answered our questions and were super kind. They brought us freshly picked giant lemons and were lovely from the second we booked up til our day of departure. The apartment is so spacious, perfect location, all the facilities you could need and more!

Great location and wonderful vibe, the staff were really friendly and would 'introduce' each newcomer to those already in the hostel, and it had a really inclusive and fun atmosphere, great for solo travellers like me. It felt more like a home than a hostel, good kitchen set up and comfy rooms. I was recommended this place by another traveller and it didn't disappoint!

Stunning views over the ocean…cozy space with everything we needed.
Offering a seafront location in Baleal, 100 metres from Baleal Beach. The Baleal 4 Surf II features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property.
I could easily live here. The town is small and modern and not one of the historic venues that Porto or Lissabon offers but it has all the amenities that one can possibly look for. The relaxed surfing attitude and the pristine beaches make this a delight to visit. Our objective had just been to visit the beach as we reside in a land locked country and this place could not have been more perfect. The surf was a delight to watch and the air and beaches were clean. The people are friendly and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed.

I went to Baleal with the intention of surfing, and I could surf multiple times a day with some great waves. A week was too short. Keep in mind, I was in Baleal in January. The average air temp was 15c and the sea temp was 16.
It was quiet in the ocean and I could surf almost alone during the day. At the end of the day, after 4 PM the locals head into the water.
Perfect week in January for a surf-get-away.
I was told it is good and quiet until the end of April. It is too busy with surf camps /schools during summer.
Food tip: El Chilitio's! is 8 min a walk from the hostel. Great Mexican food and affordable.
Next to the hostel, there is a little supermarket. It is on the expensive side, but not too crazy.

Very nice place to spend one-two days in the complete calm without the sign of civilisation) Few cafes, restaurants, we found only one shop with pesto for 7.5 eur😬
If you’re going there by car it’s perfect, otherwise you need to have a taxi, never saw a public transport there.
In love with the dunes (wide line!), November waves and a bit melancholic mood.

Fo people who like to surf and love the ocean and steep cliffs this area is just perfect. And the food is also awesome but most of the time you need to make a reservation in the restaurants, if you don't like to wait for a table.

The beach and the water/view was fantastic...a piece of heaven. Baleal "island" is surrounded by cliffs and rocks but wonderful crashing waves. It is a beach area but has decent restaurants within a short walk. Get an apartment there with a view.
From the time we entered til the time we left we were greeted with warm smiles and treated so well.. The best staff my wife and I have encountered in Portugal by far..I had made a last minute booking for our second year wedding anniversary and the response via email was very prompt to the gifts and lay out I wanted to surprise my wife with on arrival in our room. They really did exceed our expectations. A very special thanks to Elaina whom received us and her warmth and friendliness really did make our stay feel like home.
It was fantastic to have the large outdoor area with bouldering rock, swimming pool, and volley ball field. We didn't use the skate park, but it's very exceptional to have this available in a hotel. The spa area contains a dry and a wet sauna and was great to relax after a "hard day of surfing". Talking about surfing, the location is very close to Baleal sul beach and several beach bars in which to have brunch or refreshments. The hotel itself has rooms to store (and rent) surf boards as well as one to dry wetsuits.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, you wake up and have a fantastic view on the beach with sunrise. Directly in front of the door is a terrace with a small table where you can enjoy the - very good and rich - breakfast. There is also the possibility to rent surfing equipment directly at the accommodation, so that you can go directly to the beach from there. The crew is super friendly and helpful - we'll be back, thanks for the great time!
Baleal Guesthouse is one of my favourite places, the house is super warm and always full of amazing people in a good mood. The owner of the house Bruno is awesome and will always make sure to make your stay enjoyable and arrange everything according to your needs. Also the town of Baleal is a mix of relaxation and good vibe where surfing is everywhere. Don't hesitate, this is the place to be
The view from our apartment cannot be beat. So gorgeous! And the sound of the roaring waves at night was absolutely incredible. The apartment is nicely furnished and attractive. I loved that Maria provided shampoo and hand soap. We got to enjoy the view over the rocky beach, walk out along the spit and enjoy the long stretch of sandy Beach nearby. Lots of great food options near by too.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the room had a great view to the beach. Although it's not your usual hotel with a reception desk, the staff was great at explaining how things worked. Breakfast was good with all the staples you need (fresh orange juice, bread, cheese, ham, coffee and tea). We also liked to be able to use the common kitchen to prepare some meals.
The place is close to Baleal beaches for surfing. You can walk or drive 3 mins to the beach. The apartment was very clean; you can tell the owners take pride in their apartments. The bed linens were spotless and there were plenty of towels. We only stayed 2 nights but the kitchen had everything you need for a longer stay, including a washing machine. Highly recommend.
Super nice and clean kitchen area and living room. Comfortable front and back patio seating. Very nice bathrooms. Cheap board and wet suit rentals and surf lessons. 3 minute walk from the best surfing beach in Peniche. Also free skateboards available to get around 🤙
Great location in Baleal. Super friendly and always helpful owner and stuff. Good atmosphere in the house. Well equipped kitchen, clean rooms, beautiful garden with a swimming pool and the barbecue zone. It was a great time, only good vibes and nice memories.
The house was very clean, very close to the baleal beach (you just have to cross the road)
The host was super kind, she left us some food in the fridge for our dinner since we were landing late the evening and restaurants were already closed
Best hostel I ever stayed at. I come back here every year since 2018. it‘s exceptionally clean and the owners are amazing. If you’re looking for a place to stay in ferrel/baleal/peniche, this is the place to be! You won‘t regret it…
Super clean, homy and relaxing little guest house with 8 beds in 2 cozy dorm rooms.
The decoration is beautiful with wood and a super pretty terrace, 15mns walk to the beach.
Everything was perfect!
New apartment in excellent condition. Easy walk to the beaches and scenic island. Clean and safe building. Very helpful host. Outstanding communication throughout our stay.
Really nice surf camp! We really enjoy our stay. Sandra helps us with our surf equipment and provide us spots for surfing.
Best thing, good quality price relationship
