The location is absolutely perfect. Nice and calm away from main streets and canal. The Host communicated everything very well and was a very pleasant stay.
The fenced garden provided a fun time for our dog and us.
The two rooms; one located in attic and one in basement both were very well equipped Aircon and Air circulation unit, there by having no issues when the temperature rises.

Loved everything but thought the shower room let it down.
Shower that didn’t spray out and was difficult to get the right temperature, basin that did not have hot water at all and found when showering floor was slightly slippy!
Offering quiet street views, De Consistorie is an accommodation set in Giethoorn, 39 km from Theater De Spiegel and 39 km from Foundation Dominicanenklooster Zwolle.

Very kind and friendly host with extraordinary garden. About 30 min walk from the town center.
Giethoorn is an absolute gem! The charming canals, picturesque houses, and serene atmosphere make it feel like a fairytale. It's the perfect place to unwind and soak in the beauty of nature. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!

Giethoorn is the Venice of the Netherlands, it’s beautiful even though the weather was not brilliant during our stay but the place is amazing and I can imagine will be packed come Summer. We went during the Easter long weekend and still enjoyed the place.
Will definitely go back again ☺️

1. It's perfect to stay 1 or 2 nights and explore this place deeply.
2. Over 2 nights would be too much I think.
3. It's so nice to walk around not just in the center, of course with nice weather is important.
4. It's great to have 2hr boat ride with great weather, was so comfortable and the guide was so great.

Giethoorn is one of many places nicknamed Northern Venice and the resemblance with its canals is definitely there. But the nickname almost doesn't do the town its justice. It has a lot more natural scenery to offer and is much more peaceful. A great destination for someone who is for instance cycling through the country.

This a very nice and special area, it worth walking and taking a boat trip. We were there at the end of the summer in mid September, it was not too crowded. I think it is nice in the winter also, they said that the canals usually frozen and ice-skating is possible.

A great place to visit however the weather plays a key role on how much you will enjoy. Never visit this place if it raining.
Good time to spend 1 day around the water ways.
Great cycling track and prefer to rent a bycyle to visit nearby villages which are equally beautiful.
Simply outstanding in all aspects: the house located in a beautiful garden, next to the canal, easy access by car just before the street becomes pedestrian so you can park the car right at the house, then stroll into beautiful Giethoorn village.
The owners have spared no expenses to extensively equip the house: the kitchen and living rooms are absolutely fabulous, you could cook for a large family. Everything works well and is sparkling new.
Fabulous owner, very friendly and helpful.
We liked the option to bring our own sheets.
This is a great place to stay! We booked three separate hotel rooms for extended family (9p) and they let us use a little bungalow at the back with a fridge so that we could relax and sit outside on the field and have some drinks in the evening. The dinner was very tasty and excellent value and the included breakfast had everything you could wish for! The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from old Giethoorn. Most of all we appreciate the hospitality of the owner and we will definitely book again when we have visitors from abroad!
Very nice hotel in a spectacular little village. We enjoyed the room and the freshly set individualised breakfast in the morning. Each guest could order the evening before, what they would like to eat and at what time m, which was a great idea. Very friendly owner. Great location and the posibility to rent an electric boat made this stay perfect for us. Highly recommended!
Breakfast was fantastic. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming, and the room was very cozy. It is a bit far from the touristic part of Giethoorn, but no problem by bike or car. Some steep stairs that we needed to carry the dog, when coming down, but they warned us by message beforehand. A pity we only stayed one night, 2 or 3 would be perfect on such a nice place.
We stayed in this little hotel on the outskirts of Giethoorn. For a night's stay I would say it is perfect. We sadly did not have any interaction with the staff, apart from briefly at breakfast. You do a self check-in and check-out. The room was clean, the bed comfy and the bathroom perfect. It is within walking distance to the lovely village of Giethoorn.
Very comfortable hotel room with 2 chairs to relax in. Easy self check-in. Nice breakfast (the warm brown seed top bread was absolutely delicious). There was plenty of room in the free P1 (green) carpark next to the hotel. Can see hotel from this carpark, and also a good supermarket. From the back of the hotel, can walk along the canal to the Binnepad.
Just about everything. The hosts were lovely and the apartment was the best we have stayed in . Plenty of information and even a little emergency food. The location near the bus stop and not far from the super market . The place was spotless and so comfortable. Wonderful
The hotel is positioned right near the main attractions of Githoorn - it's only a 7-10 minute walk to the canal where you can rent a boat. The room was big enough, perfectly clean and there were some complimentary sweets from the management - so nice of them!
This has been the best experience in hotel stay ever. Esther was so friendly and accomodating. The room is spacious & clean, breakfast is delicious, the location cannot get any better (super close to the Binnenpad). Highly recommend!
excellent location, wonderful views, very close to the center of Giethoorn, easy access to the site, free parking, It provides boats for rent, and there are shopping stores and restaurants, sophisticated treatment from the owner..
It’s a self check in. The room is clean and modern. Also quite spacious. But we can’t put our luggages if the restaurant close. Because there’s almost no staff in the hotel. No receptionist.
