Charming classic hotel in an excellent lakeside position. The superior room had a lovely view and a small balcony. The restaurant was very good. Worth staying in. And we were lucky enough to get one of the few parks in the hotel parking space. Recommended

Pretty little town on the lake, with a couple of excellent restaurants nearby serving local cuisine mostly. Lots to see, lovely walks, hikes and drives. One glaring problem they need to address ASAP. Very nice city with a breathtaking view with a castle on the lake and high hills covered in clouds. The lake is crystal clear, so perfect for swimming, or sailing. There are ferrys that can take you to other parts of the lake. Just an absolutely gorgeous and clean city with very welcoming people. Many art galleries and all sorts of exhibitions. We also reccomend Hotel Zum Goldenen Hirschen in the city centre with a luxury design and very nice staff.

Amazing lake town, with a special sea-lake architecture. Small but charming and the locals are very friendly. The city is boring, it was a disappointing experience. The Esplanade Hotel in the City Center is a disaster (including a pizzeria there) - go to the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb (Croatia) and see what the service and luxury is. We left the day before, this is a city of old people….AAnonymousCroatia

Front desk Juliana was super lovely and sweet, gave us lots of information about what to see, where to eat, coffee and cakes..Really enjoyed Konditorei Grellinger cream-rolls, the best ever pastry !! Breakfast was good quality. Spar supermarket was below, I could buy some chocolate & bonbons conveniently ;-) We recommend the hotel and we too hope to be back again. See you Juliana :-)

The breakfast is varied and well presented. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was quiet and only a ten minute walk to the beautiful town of Gmunden. This is a family run hotel and the owners work there along with an exceptional team of staff, who organised take away food for us, taxis and train schedules to visit other places in Austria.

A family-run hotel with very good food and comfortable rooms overlooking the lake. You feel the atmosphere of a place managed for years by the Grunberg family. It is a pleasure to return here. Close to the lake and the lifts to the mountains. Like the whole lake area an excellent holiday destination. Recommended for motorcyclists!

The room was clean, the host and the staff were very nice. In case you don't speak german, they speak english. There's a private garage for the guests, just enter straight from the main street and ignore the "traffic prohibited" sign (it doesn't apply to the hotel guests).
