The city is well worth the visit. Although it suffered during the WWII, there are still many historical building and churches preserved. One can also take interesting one day trips from Munich. I went to view the castel Neuschwanstein and took an excursion to the former concentration camp Dachau. Great city with great architecture, nice restaurants, and of course lots of activities. I personally love visiting the Viktualienmarkt, then having a coffee and a Rohrnudel at Cafe Frischhut, which is conveniently located right next to it. You can spend a lot of time people watching, and to see real Múnchner is fun. Loved climbing up the tower of St Peter’s Church and we were lucky to have great weather so we could see the Alps. A visit to Dalmayers, Manufactum and the famous Elli Seidl chocolaterie was a must.
