The staff were excellent throughout…very welcoming and gave helpful advice. Great location for all Trier sights and restaurants. The courtyard is a lovely space to eat, or just sit and read.
BTW Trier is a must see city.

Great location for visiting Trier. An old quirky hotel but a very nice place to stay. Good restaurant, great food. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This cosy hotel is just 200 metres from Trier's pedestrian area, Old Town district and historic Porta Nigra gate. The Moselle promenade and the harbour can be reached in 5 minutes on foot.
Mesenich is a pleasant village in the Sauertal. There are good walks along the valley and up the valley sides. The only drawback is that there was only one restaurant (at the hotel where I stayed), so when the restaurant closed on Monday evening I had to drive to find somewhere to eat.
