A wonderful almost hidden gem, the whole town is a living museum full of lovely historic buildings by chance exactly as they were hundreds of years ago. We continue to be amazed at the sights within the town. Cannot recommend too much the Chez Félix restaurant in the town centre, great food, lovely staff, very pleasant atmosphere appealing to all ages - and delicious Champagne!

Troyes is well worth a visit, ideally 3-4 days. Lots of historical buildings, streets to see. Some lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Easy to walk around. We found a bar / restaurant called Tante Reine which had a very relaxed atmosphere

It's a busy town, but our host gave clear instructions to...
It's a busy town, but our host gave clear instructions to find free parking within a five minute walk. This property is right in the historic heart of Troyes, so you really get a feel for the place. The architecture is stunning - tall timber framed merchant houses, and some other stone built elegant structures too. With just a one night stay, and a ferry to catch the following day, we had nowhere near enough time to appreciate it - and no time to visit any of the amazing churches. We need to come again to enjoy it all properly. We ate at a popular grill restaurant in one of the old timber-framed buildings. It was buzzing and busy, but they fitted us in. Troyes is a fantastic, friendly, safe city. Easy to walk everywhere and so much to see and do a few days is not enough.The museums, medieval houses, churches are fascinating .It is like walking into history. Don't forget to visit the Mediatheque, the collection of ancient books is amazing.After an afternoon of exploring try one of the many cafes for something yummy to eat. Then take a night stroll down to the canal to see Troyes lit up at night!!Jones

The room is within a residential home for elder people so please be aware of that. For us it was ideal though, there was parking and a large comfy room and very friendly and helpful staff. It was a stopover for us as we drove through France and we would highly recommend it to anyone doing the same. Breakfast was so-so but for that price, it was amazing to get breakfast at all! We booked this apartment for one night and was fully satisfied. The interior decor is made with love and being inside you feel warm care for guests from the owners. This is perfect apartment, comfortable, clean, beautifully furnished with everything you need in a few steps from the historical center of the city. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

This is the best hotel which we will return to. It is modern, rooms nicely air conditioned. Separate toilet to shower which is good for male friends sharing a room. Breakfast was good. Parking is available for motorbikes which is £10 per spot. We were able to get our 7 motorbikes into 2 spots. It is underground parking and secure.
