Trani is a fabulous town, a must visit if you are in Puglia. Trani has loads of different restaurants and fabulous clothes shops. Try to have dinner on the Port of Trani and watch the fisherman bring in their catch and sell it on the side of the port near the Cathedral of Trani. The terrace bar at the Ognassi Hotel is very special and totally worth a visit too.

We arrived out of the main tourist season, the town was quiet, however food & drink was plentiful. We visited the Castle & Cathedral late on in the day, but we enjoyed the experience, especially the climb up the Bell Tower, 258 steps, however worthwhile, the views were outstanding.
Great pizza at Art'e L'Arcimboldo Pizza Cafe!!

Diverting to Puglia was a last-minute decision for us, and we were not disappointed. Trani is a small but bustling city with good train access, a few sites of historical interest, and a fabulous harbor to the Adriatic Sea. Because it was not high season, when the tour busses left their day-stops, we felt like two of only a few tourists left in town.
Trani is the place to go if you are a seafood lover. At dusk, the fishing boats pull into the harbor, back up to the dock, and offer up their daily catch. Locals browse from boat to boat, loading up on whatever looks best, and restaurant patrons feast on the freshest of fresh fish and shellfish that evening. We had an incredible meal at Osteria ai Platani (highly recommend).
Had we planned this stop, we'd have stayed at least one more night for the food, wine, and ambiance alone.

We didn't really explore Trani except to walk to the port for a drink after we had arrived. We had a lot of trouble finding the hotel when we first arrived as the name on our booking was different to the name on the hotel, which caused some confusion and delays in checking in. The port area was pleasant to visit but the hotel was situated near the train station and we had to walk through small, narrow roads to reach the port.

We travelled around a few places in Puglia and Trani was surprisingly our favourite town to visit. It was peaceful, no tourists about and felt so authentically Italian whilst also having a great vibe in the evening and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy the beautiful views.

Maria couldn't speak English yet gave a terrific description of the apartment and about Trani using Gogle translator - she couldn't have been more helpful. Even had her own personal map of Trani for visitors.

Safe parking in a private garage was made available at no extra cost
Everything about our stay here was 10/10. There was nothing to fault. The villa was spotless and roomy, with every amenity you will need for a stay of any length. Onsite private parking is also included. The hosts were welcoming, and communication was excellent, offering suggestions for things to do and see in the area. They also went above and beyond to make our stay in Trani so memorable. If we return to Trani, we will not hesitate to book Villa Pintucci again!
Blanco B&B is a delightful accommodation. What makes Blanco B&B stand out is its exceptional location in the heart of the historic city. Its proximity to two of Trani's most iconic landmarks, the castle and the cathedral, is a definite plus. Blanco B&B is situated in a lively neighbourhood where locals reside, which provides guests with the opportunity to experience the authentic and popular life of the city.
The location was perfect for seeing the sights of Trani and walking distance (about 15 minutes) from the train station. The B&B's restaurant, right next door, was outstanding. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and offered a glass of prosecco, which was much appreciated. Everyone was friendly and helpful and made us feel at home.
What a wonderful and very comfortable apartment in a beautiful building in the best location in Trani..it was like a painting and the view was sensational…Claudia was the best host and from the moment our first emails crossed, I knew we would be well taken care of…a safe secure building is always a plus..Grazie for your friendliness and kindness…you and the apartment were perfect !
Staying at Novecento Dimore di Poesia was a great experience. We felt that we were living in Trani as an Italian. The rooms were spacious and well thought out. Everything we needed was provided including snacks and tea and coffee. Security was good and we were able to park the car outside the building in the road.
Trani is a pearl of Adriatic coast. Full of history, carefully maintained old town. Perfect location for a stay and discover the northern part of Puglia.
The hotel is at the best point, overlooking the harbour. Everything is in 5-minute-walk (cathedral, restaurants).
Nice and helpful staff, good breakfast.
Trani was a total surprise as was the Palazzo Filisio. The hotel is grand, elegant and wonderfully comfortable. The breakfast was beyond our expectations with so many choices. Our room overlooked the cathedral and the harbour. I can’t recommend it enough.
Amazing location, just steps from the castle, the cathedral and the port. Clean and spacious rooms, a nice assortment for breakfast. The hosts welcomed us warmly and explained how everything worked. The price per value can't be beat, perfect for a family.
This is an outstanding hotel. The location is priceless, the room is comfortable and a wonderful view, all staff are attentive, breakfast and dinner are superb and the best we have ever enjoyed. I cannot recommend this hotel and restaurant more.
We loved our first visit to Trani. The location was perfect and close to the train station. Our room was very clean and ideal for our family. Our host was friendly, helpful and responsive. The homemade breakfast was SO good. Many thanks.
Conveniently close to the station and good standard. The room was big and very good, bed could be softer but this is often the case in Italy. Trani has a fab Harbour and a very impressive older city center with luxury shopping.
Perfect location in Trani in a nice old harbour building. Good value for money. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating. Rooftop bar on the far side of the harbour is very recommended!
Fantastic location across from the castle and a few mins walk from attractions, bars and restaurants. Best equipped place we’ve stayed in during our holiday in Italy.
