Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Portugalit was very difficult without light, but the staff did everything possible to make it comfortable. does not understand why the owner of a hotel of this level cannot buy a generator. one of the employees said that it is the principle of the owner…

AustraliaThe only minor thing I would suggest is a kettle in the room to make tea (hot water from coffee machine still tastes like coffee)

UkraineI was very surprised that there was no hygienic shower or bidet, and there was also no disposable toothbrush and toothpaste.
Modern, clean, nice view. Nice room service. We were pleased to have champagne as a present from the hotel (we were just married).

United StatesExpensive in comparison to my hotel in Odesa.
Good location that allowed me to walk to some spots. Security removed a drunken vagrant & protected the property. My room was clean. Shower was wonderful. Bed was super comfy. Restaurant was good.

United StatesThe only reason for a lower grade on comfort is that the room was too warm and, despite requests, apparently could not be corrected.

UkraineA quite small room on 1st floor where windows without tulle that are looking to the inner courtyard with a restaurant where people ate and looked into our windows. The table under television was a little broken and the tabletop was tilted and things was rolling down.

Friendly to families with kids. Cleaning every day. Water, coffee, tea, and mini bar in the suite. Amazing inner courtyard with Marco restaurant.

UkraineWe arrived in the evening and had to wait 10 minutes as there was no one at reception to greet us. Had to ask for toilet paper as only one small roll provided. No help with luggage from our room.
The location is perfect. Beautiful renovation and decor. The attached Marko restaurant has a wonderful outdoor terrace and food is exceptional. Rooms on the small side but a wonderful fit out and decor. Staff all speak Ukrainian

UkraineThere are no curtains in the room, only drapes. We got the room on the first floor with windows facing the backyard where the restaurant is located. So in the morning, while you are getting dressed etc, you have to use the lamps other than the natural light from the window. Because otherwise you feel uncomfortable and the restaurant guests might as well :)
The hotel new, cozy, super modern, clean and has a nice smell. location is perfect. The bath garments are from the local Ukrainian brand and have a great scent. The pillows and blankets were super comfy.

Ukraine- Ridiculously too many doors before you get into your room and no luggage service. It was 4 closed doors in my case, each too stiff to open, with door knobs almost harmful with their sharp edges. Not only such "closed doors" policy gives an impression quite the opposite of hospitality, it is also very unpractical and unhygienic, especially when handling luggage in your hands, whereas the hotel staff doesn't even offer assistance. - Strange breakfast policy and poor choice of meals. You pay as if for a traditional breakfast deal instead you can only order from the hotel's restaurant's menu which has very limited options, not only for breakfast, and has no adaptations for special diet requirements. In particular, the restaurant has no dish at all for lactose intolerant need, and the staff couldn't offer any alternative either. - In general, the hotel's restaurant being open to public seem to value more external visitors rather than the hotel residents, making you feel lost among that public instead of being welcomed as should be in hotels. - Keep in mind that the spaces in the hotel are too tiny: the room is good for one, but for two it's going to be a challenge (especially because of a small bed). - It's also not very suitable for work/business as there's no particular publicly shared space except for a small reception area, so no other option to work with a laptop than in your own room. - Although I complimented the minibar supplies, it is rather strange in terms of tea. While tea bags were provided in the room, there was no kettle, so the only option to get hot water was via a coffee machine, 30 ml at a time.
Minimalistic design, lots of light in all spaces, pleasant art on the walls, good quality toiletries and minibar supplies, capsule coffee machine, iron with iron board were already in the room, bath robes also provided. Also, appreciated an excellent reference to the events in Ukraine by means of various artistic catalogues left on nightstands in the room.
