Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBreakfast was good but a little boring same menu. Breakfast was not continental. My room did not have a kettle but had mugs and tea bags. Wardrobe didn't have any hangers so couldn't hang clothes in it.
The staff was good and friendly. Breakfast View was just so beautiful you could see the sea and mountains far away. The hotel was clean. They have a spa that everyone should try. The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to blue mosque 5 minutes. There's good restaurants on the same street at the hotel. The staff were good and gave me an iron to use when I needed it. The staff a very helpful when need help booking etc..

United KingdomThe room was generally OK but was a little dark and lighting wasn't great.
The staff were really helpful and gave us lots of tips and information for our visit. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and wonderful view of the Bosphorus. The location was reasonable and we were able to get to most places easily.

United KingdomIt's a lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff. The location was superb with lots of cafes and restaurants and shops in the street. The breakfast buffet at the top floor was also excellent with lovely views of the sea. Main tourist attractions like the Grand bazaar, Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia were 10 to 15 mins walk at max. Metro stop a few mins walk. Would definitely recommend.

United KingdomThe only issue is that the hotel is located downhill, requiring an uphill walk to reach major locations. Therefore, make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry light bags.
The view from the breakfast room on the terrace is magnificent. Every morning, we enjoyed breakfast with a breathtaking view of the Sea of Marmara, making each day start perfectly. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options and a live kitchen counter. Our room was spacious and comfortable, offering a beautiful sea view from the window. Additionally, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially Mr. Karim, who provided us with a mobile charger at no cost and was always ready to help with a smile. The location is fantastic. Overall, it was an exceptional experience that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable stay.

SerbiaThe area, just like the entire Istanbul, but there isn’t much you can do about it, except to prepare yourself for it and wear comfortable shoes.
The hotel is near all of the main attractions, ten minutes from Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topcapi Palace, Grand Bazar with many small restaurants and cofee places in the vicinity. The hotel is okey, rooms are a bit smaller than we expected, but we a huge terrace that we used, although the upkeep of it could have been better. The hotel has a nice restaurant with fair prices and good food. The staff are not very fluent in English, but that’s almost the case in Istanbul in general. The towels and bed linen were vlean but a bit old and torn in a few places. We didn’t like that the hamam that was supposed to be free for the guests of the hotel was offered to us from 1pm to 5 pm to use for just 15 minutes and basically the eellness is just sauna and a small hamam, really tiny. We went to see it and noticed that it wasn’t as clean as you would expect. .

GermanyIt wasn’t clean. The previous guests spilled the wine or something over the bedside table. There was spots on table and the telephone was sticky. There is no garbage bin in the room, just the small one in the bathroom. There were also defects in the bathroom: one flush button didn’t work properly and the change button in the shower was broken.
Location is perfect. Near to the most popular historical sites. The stuff is very helpful and kind.

United KingdomThe only down side I would say was cleanliness, and a dated bathroom. The rooftop veranda could be even better with a clean but the city itself is dusty so I can see why it is the way it is. Cleaners themselves were lovely though!
The location is fantastic, with short walks to the big attractions. The staff were also great, they were all very friendly and keen to help and advise on seeing the best parts of the city. The view from the top floor was beautiful and breakfast there was a great start to a day. The selling point for me though, the restaurant/bar; a great place to sit and relax watching the world go by with some very well priced wine or coffee.

ItalyRoom for 2 we got was quite small, did not expect it. But we did not mind, as long as it was clean and we did not spend so much time in the room.
Location is very good - T1 tram is close, Grand Bazzar, Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Basilica cistern,.. all reachable very easy by foot. Also, many stores and shops nearby.

United KingdomThey had few options in breakfast but same every day, never mind I must say everything was quite fresh though and would have been better served different options. Had a massage which felt like a waste of money because the lady who did it was constantly walking in and out throughout the treatment and massage room didn’t look clean. They were not professional 😌
It was my sister’s birthday, they gave us a little upgrade to a room on the top floor with a beautiful sea view. Staff were very nice and welcoming, had room service almost everyday. Thank you to receptionists and cleaning lady they were very kind. Well organised 🫡

United KingdomIt can be noisy if your room is at the front on an evening on the bustling street outside. There is double glazing so not too bad. The traffic starts early at 7am but I took my ear plugs so not a problem. PLEASE NOTE if you struggle with your mobility maybe not ideal as the streets are quite steep/hilly.
Great location, lots of local shops and restaurants nearby. Not far from Sultanahmet Square and attractions. Tram stations nearby (10 min walk) Beds very comfy, shower hot and good pressure. Wifi worked well. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you Umut & staff for your kindness. The little bar and restaurant has a good vibe. Good breakfast.
