My only less than great observation is that the kitchen area is a little cramped although the lounge is spacious and views great too.

This is a great hostel. The staff were really great and Tefo on reception was really helpful and friendly. Location is superb. Beds comfy and private with curtain.

This is not the most sociable hostel. When I was there, people seemed more keeping to themselves. There were no activities when I was there. Not a major issue. You can still make friends there.

The attention to detail in the design means your personal sleeping area in Sakura has more in common with the pods in Japanese Capsule hotels than with a normal hostel. I have travelled budget in 90+ countries and have recently done did 4 Caminos, all using hostels, so I have more experience of hostels than most people. I think Sakura really has the optimal design in hostels. The bunk headroom means most people will be able to sit up in their sleeping space. You get a personal integrated shelf, light, and two charging points. Two - not just one. Very comfortable mattress and pillow. Curtains for privacy. Bunks very solidly built with wipeable vinyl surfaces that stay clean and look pristine. The solid bunk build means you don’t get the usual noise throughout the night from people turning over in their sleep, and your bed doesn’t wobble. All dorms have air conditioning. For me, the design alone puts Sakura way above other hostels I have stayed in. The bathrooms are hi spec and clean. Also, the rooms have balconies for clothes drying. Very large secure drawers are located under the bottom bunk - good job as I have my full wild camping gear with me - and you can rent a heavy duty padlock if you don’t have one with you. Sakura offers an excellent deal for breakfast at the adjacent cafe - Turkish breakfast only 100TL for residents. The location of Sakura is perfect for me - in the centre of Fethiye town behind the marina, but within a pedestrianised shopping centre, so you are removed from traffic noises. Extensive book exchange in Reception. All Sakura staff are lovely - very helpful. They have provided all info I asked for and made some excellent recommendations, like visiting Kabak beach. I have my camping gear with me and I was going to camp after 2 nights, but I have just extended here at Sakura because I am so comfortable in the hostel, and I find central Fethiye extremely well designed - lots of fantastic public seating areas amidst a gorgeous planting scheme.

Everything was perfect!

The hostel is in a great location and easy to get to. The rooms were clean and the rooftop is a great place for solo travelers to meet new friends! The staff was really helpful and assisted me in figuring out how to get a ferry ticket, a bus ticket and even where a good working cafe was. I really appreciate all their help! I will definitely stay here again if I'm in Fethiye. Thanks!

Nothing. It was perfect. It would be great if there was a separate place for the bottles. The garbage can overflows nightly because of the many bottles thrown out and then people throw their kitchen waste on top of that and it makes a huge mess.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed and I travel a lot! Super clean. Great price. Awesome location. Very nice and helpful staff. Huge rooms. I love that the girls dorm bathroom had separate doors for showers and toilets and there was a huge area for the two sinks. Hair dryer. Huge pull out lockers under the beds. Bring your own lock. Ladders are the built in ones. Sweet! Bring your own lock. The privacy curtains, individual lights and sockets next to a nice-sized shelf are a real bonus! Nice open terrace and a small kitchen next to terrace. Kitchen has just the basics. It was super hot up there during the day in September. You will not find a better hostel.

The tv didn't work. This wasn't a huge issue, just a nice to have. A staff member did come to help me with it. He was able to get the cable working.

it is far from OLUDINIZ beach where most of Activities are , but transportation is easily available ( around 30-45 mins to OLUDINIZ by mini bus)

The female bedroom is just next to the reception and if the guests at the hall talks loudly it disturbs.

The hostel is in the old town center, walking distance to the port and surrounded by shops . Very easy to find from couch statuon just by taking small dolmus. The location was great. The female bedroom has its own restrooms which gives full privacy. Every bed has curtains,light, electric sockets and shelves for personal stuff. The storage is drawer style under the beds which was easy to use and you can even fit your small/middle size luggages.
