Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandA little minor maintenance to the shower would have lifted my rating to a 10/10. May be a little noisy for some due to proximity to many restaurants.
Very friendly, welcoming, family run business. Went out of their way to assist on arrival and with laundry and taxi services. The attached restaurant provided excellent service. Good value and well located to be able to walk to main attractions and restaurants.

The sea is very near and we had a wonderful walk along the coastline on the first day. Musa has been making for us tasty breakfasts and Belgin a miraculous espresso ristretto! The young gentleman from the night reception was of great help. They all, including the young girl, made our trip unforgettable. Thank you Musa, thank you Belgin, thank you all! See you again!

Room perfectly clean and well equipped, bed confortable, tasty fresh turkish breakfast. Perfect position to reach the centre :15 minutes walk to Aya Sofya and the Big Bazar, 10 minutes walk to tram T1 (but remember that the streets are quite steep), 2 minutes walk to the station of the brand new train line that let you to reach Sirkecy station in 10 minutes. The owner is a nice person, always kind and helpful.

HungaryIf you want to walk from the property to the inner city, be aware (for people with not so good knees or leg injuries), there is a solid level difference on the road! You go a lot up a lot! (I still loved the property, it is just a good to know 😊)
The owners were really nice and cute, the place wasn’t big, bit if you want to walk around the city alone or with a smaller group of friends, it is the perfect choice. The rooms are simple but clean. You can find almost every bigger attraction within 20 min walk. 😊

RussiaThe only thing is that it's a bit far from the metro, and it's a bit hard to walk with suitcases on the local sidewalks. There is no elevator, so be careful. It is not very convenient to go up with suitcases, but the owner, despite all our protests, helped us with it :)
We walked easily to all the main attractions. Our room was on the top floor with a nice view of the rooftops. The owner in general is a very nice person, trying to make your stay here the most comfortable, thank him for that. When we were leaving, he even offered to serve us breakfast an hour earlier. And when we refused, he offered us to pack our breakfast with us) The breakfast itself was amazing, very varied and very tasty. In Turkish style, with a set of appetizers, soup, omelet, pancakes, toppings and I do not remember what else))) well and coffee of course. We ate about half of what was offered and were full.

United KingdomJust worth noting it can get quite loud due to live music till midnight on the street. Not the owners fault so just bring some earplugs.
Good and convenient location. The breakfast served in the family restaurant was phenomenal. And the people who run it go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Nothing is too much bother for them.

KazakhstanWe didn't like the view from our room but that's okay, you can do nothing about it. Apart from that, there is nothing really to complain about
It's a cozy family hotel located in a nice place very close to a buzzing area with lots of dining places. The family that runs the hotel is lovely, very hospitable and welcoming. The breakfasts are served in a small family restaurant on the 1st floor and exceeded our expectations. We have never eaten soups for breakfast but they were so tasty and made us realy feel at home. The breakfasts were rich in variety and there was just plenty of food, we wished we could eat it all but it was just too much for us 😅 Thanks a lot to Musa bey and his wife and daughter 😊 The rooms are not very spacious but cozy, with all the necessary amenities. The beds were very comfortable.

United KingdomMost restaurants have live traditional Turkish folk music, which may be too noisy. However, the music stops at midnight every day.
I had a fantastic breakfast at the hotel. It was freshly prepared by the friendly restaurant owner downstairs and was probably one of the best breakfasts I've had in Istanbul. The hotel is located in a fantastic spot in the middle of the busy tourist restaurant area, and it's only a short walk to the Sultanahmet Garden, Aya Sophia and many other attractions. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed and a large, well-equipped bathroom. Toiletries, coffee and tea-making facilities, and a full-sized fridge were all provided.

SerbiaThe only downside is that it's quite noisy and bright at night. However, restaurants close around midnight, so it's much quieter after that. We don't go to bed early, so it didn't bother us too much. Also, our room was facing the street, but I'm sure it's much better in the rooms that are facing away. Goij equipped the apartment with blackout curtains to filter out the extremely bright streetlights, and I don't really see what else he could've done.
We're thrilled with this accommodation! The location is amazing since most of the landmarks are reachable by foot or a short tram ride. There are plenty of restaurants right in front of the guesthouse. It's clean and cozy with a comfy bed and pillows. There is always hot water, and they provide towels, shampoo, and shower gel. Check-in and check-out processes are fast and easy, with generous check-out time. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, especially when it comes to soup. We tried lentil soup in multiple places, but I can say that the best one was served by Goji, who's by the way amazingly pleasant, polite, and hospitable person. Mushroom soup is also out of this world, so make sure to try it. There was a fridge in our room filled with free bottled water. Instant tea and coffee were also provided in our room for free in addition to being served at breakfast. Don't hesitate to book this accommodation and we'll surely be back. 😊
