The only thing that didn't work for us was the bedside light. No biggie.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. The hotel is very close to the Galata tower and our room had a great view across the water. Plus there are facilities for making coffee and tea in the bedroom, which I always like.

Proximity to a mosque but this is a Muslim country and the culture of it is why we travel there!!!

On a quiet street just 200m from the Beyoglu metro station we found this modern boutique hotel. It was surrounded by lighting stores with the biggest and best chandeliers etc so well lit and safe! The room was well designed and compact with everything you needed. We were upgraded on the last night to the top floor and watched trains cross the Golden Horn on the bridge and disappear into a tunnel directly under our hotel, we never heard a rumble or anything! We arrived at 9.45am from Perth and were greeted with “welcome, please leave your bags there and enjoy some breakfast (there was a spread on a long table!) Tea? Coffee? Eggs? Later the manager came over and said “ how was your breakfast? The other guests have just checked out so your room will be ready in about 20 minutes “ The service was 5.5stars! We chatted with the manager about his cat and recommendations for a rooftop seafood restaurant! Nothing was a problem we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! We walked to the shopping strip to Taksim Square, took a train to the Grand Bazaar etc and he arranged a taxi to the cruise terminal!

The hospitality of the owner, staff and Osman was incredible, we felt like being a part of a family. Upon arrival, we were offered refreshment drinks (try lemonade!). The boutique hotel is lovely, great breakfast. The room was clean and had an exceptional view. Great location. Would recommend.

The location is very good, you can walk to most places, Galata Tower, Galataport, Istiklal Street, Taksim, every place is close to the hotel, and the security is excellent, the view from the room is beautiful, and the staff here are the best! They consider you a member of the family, making sure to provide for all your needs and safety, and the wonderful employee, of course, is Othman, the security cat!

The best thing about the Doruk Palas Hotel is the owner and staff. We arrived really early after a very long flight and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. We were given our room way ahead of check in time, something we were so appreciative of as we were exhausted. The owner recommended beautiful restaurants and organised a spa visit for us. The breakfast was delicious and our room was super clean. The whole team were extremely helpful and friendly during our stay.

The staff at Doruk were exceptional during our stay. All staff were extremely welcoming and treated us and all other guests as family. Our request of being given a room with two single beds were of top priority to the hotel who kindly moved us to accommodate our requirement as soon as the facility became available. The hotel itself is in an excellent location being only a 10 minute walk to the Galata Tower and the nearest tram link. The breakfast offers a large range of different options from cheeses to condiments. I would fully recommend staying here because it would be rare to find the same level of customer service and personalism shown as we experienced here anywhere else. Thank you!

Staying at Doruk Palas Hotel is like staying with family. Ahmet, Muhammed and the rest of the team are so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay in Istanbul unforgettable. The hotel is lovely and modern and in a great location for exploring the city, all within walking distance. We stayed in the room with the roof terrace which has the most amazing views. We wished we had booked a longer stay so that we had more time to enjoy the views. Don't spend too long planning an itinerary beforehand, as Ahmet will make great recommendations and make sure you see the real Istanbul. Special shoutout to Mr Osman (the cat) for being the best hotel manager. He makes sure all his guests are greeted at the door and we were lucky enough to be escorted to our room each evening by him. We miss the hotel already and if we return to Istanbul we will definitely choose Doruk Palas. Thanks again for a perfect stay and don't change a thing!

We were a little disappointed to not have the twin beds we had requested on our first night but all was made good the next day. Someone occupying one of the 4 rooms with twin beds had stayed on an extra day. The high level of service offered here made up for this small inconvenience however.

The hospitable service here was remarkable. We were so well looked after in this family run hotel. Being able to have a view looking out over the horn was a big bonus. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful, and so very fresh. A home away from home is what they deliver at this well managed, friendly hotel.

The rooms were quite small , but having said that we were able to accommodate all of our luggage without any problems. It was spotlessly clean and very functional in its own way !

The location was excellent, with stunning views of the Mosques . The Hotel staff could not have been kinder or more helpful . There was a lovely buffet breakfast with many different items to choose from. This Hotel was also situated in a very quiet street , less than five minutes from the Metro .

Nothing, it is one the best hotels I have stayed in in my life.

This is a beautiful 4 star hotel owner by 2 kind brothers who give a 7 star service. The staff they have employed is as sweet as them they stood outside to wave goodbye to us as we left. We had 3 stops in Istanbul and we stayed here all the time, in our last stop they had no booking available but made it happen because my parents were old and unable to walk. They were so hospitable with teas and coffees and their breakfast spread was just divine - the best hummus, labneh, muhammra I have eaten and I live in the Middle East. Mr. Ahmet and Mr. Mohammad the owners and their staff Mr Hassan and Mr Amir are true gems. It felt like they were our brothers, laughing joking with us and making sure we had transport, food, water and activities figured out. They made sure everyone around them had a smile on their face and in true Turkish style had us have our afternoon coffees with them. They made Istanbul feel like our own homes and we felt sad to leave them. We will return only to stay at Doruk Palas because of the warmth, happiness and humour they shared with us. The kitty cat Mr Osman was an added bonus. I will say this again - for any kind of help anything random also they had a solution. They are extremely accommodating and managed to house us even when they were full because they didn’t want us to be troubled. Extremely professional and one of the best hotels I have stayed in in the world. Even our pick ups and drop offs were so seamless and easy and our coffees were ready to drink when we arrived in the reception. Forget a 4 star this is an 8 star hotel - the 8th star for the love and care they put in from their heart!

You need to stay at this hotel. It was fantastic. The staff is so friendly and want to help you with whatever you need. The LOCATION is the best. You are in a cool area with lots of shops and restaurants and it’s very safe. You can cross the bridge easily walking and explore the Asian side. I preferred to stay on the European side and am so happy I stayed at Doruk Palas Hotel. It was highly recommended by a friend from my country Panamá. And it did not disappoint. Stay here you will love it.
