At night there was something industrial beneath my bed or near to it. It vibrated so loud it was near impossible to sleep. I turned off the power but to no affect. My guess it was a very large generator or something with the elevator close by. It felt as if I was sleeping on a rocket launch pad 🥴. I would have asked if there was a room without it but I was actually a bit ill from stomach upset and imagined the entire hotel had problem with the sound so I just stayed the 3 days booked and flew on home . The staff were not friendly, not rude, just too business like for my liking.

The area does not look great but to be fair it is just 5 minutes walk from the Main Street, 15 minutes walk from the main attractions on Kamala beach. We did not mind at all. The down side is that for some reason you cannot find the property on google maps or other your websites but this is not a major problem.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and you are provided with water bottles, tea and coffee daily. They also change towels and bathroom essentials daily. If you need an hairdryer, you can ask at the reception and they’ll provide you with one.

There are a lot of ants, so we needed be very careful to not put anything on the table.

Spacious quiet room looking at nice view of nature and swimming pool. Closed to the sea and main load at the same time it's situated in very quiet side. Staff were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay a lot, we would stay again.

The hotel is a little run down, but comfortable. Not on the beach, but good value for money.

Good clean and spacious room. Very comfortable with balcony overlooking the pool. The location was good, although not right on the beach, there is a walkway from the pool area that takes you to the beach- about 300 metres I think? It is close to the Big C supermarket, which is where Phuket Smart Bus stops in Kamala - the bus runs between airport and Phuket Old town.

The room was spacious and the location was really convenient! A few minutes walk to the beautiful Kamala beach and the Big C supermarket is just around the corner. Cheap and great restaurants can be found near the hotel. We enjoyed the pool at night because almost no one was there. The staffs were very friendly.

The opening windows did not have child safety feature, so we needed to pay close attention when they were near the window.

The pool was perfect for the kids. The shallow section was large, the water temperature was comfortable, it was open 24 hours.

Downside might be the distance to the beautiful beach, about a 15 to 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. There's a number of roosters living next door that rise early.

NOTE: This review is NOT for the Sungthong Kamala Beach Resort. It was written for the Sungthong Mango Hotel and Booking.com accidently posted for the wrong facility. One of the better 3 star hotels I have stayed at on phuket. Many positive features you will appreciate: recently renovated with modern sinks, marble showers, well-functioning a/c, private deck, mini-fridge. Very clean. The bed was quite firm but I slept well. Generally more quite here than most due to location. However, at the time of this review (December, 2023) there is a construction project at the adjoining property and loud construction noise during daytime. For you sound nerds, the construction noise results in the typical noise level of 40 decibles increasing to about 55 decibles. Estimate that construction may continue throughout January. Daily room cleaning and the typical 2 bottles of water allotment. Very friendly host. Close to most services and grocery stores. Good value.

It was fine, quite near the beach. Bathroom was quite big and practical. Pool is also very big and clean. Next to the hotel is a big supermarket and bus stop.
