Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaThe staff could care more in the bar. You wait extremly long and sometimes the staff will not arrive. Also I would expect them to know what wine they serve and sell.
Nice hotel, good food, everything available.

Netherlandsit has glitches of a Slovak spa resort. for breakfast, you’ll be seated with three strangers and will have no chance to change. wifi is very bad. furniture is functional but very dated.
You need to understand that this is a traditional Slovak spa resort, albeit an upmarket one. facilities are therefore geared towards the spa-goers. excellent pool, terrible wifi. location is hard to beat, breakfast amazing, staff reasonably friendly.

IrelandBuffer style meals not ideal in Covid era. A little bit of messing with car park swipe card on and off the island. Overall very positive
Spacious. Helpful staff at front desk and pizza restaurant. Some had good English. Pool was enjoyable, use towel to book sun bed early! Very nice spa island and very close to town.

SlovakiaCommunication- I didn’t get a reply to my message (through Booking.com) for 4 days. By the time they replied, we were already at the hotel. I could not reach reception by phone the whole weekend, and as we we traveling on Monday this was really urgent. We also didn’t like that they didn’t inform us in advance that they will do spa cleaning for one whole day, which meant a lot for us as we only stayed 2,5 days and chose the hotel because of spa. No reimbursement or offered apology of any kind was provided by the facilities . Paid lunch or dinners- Breakfast was included in our price, but when we decided to pay also for lunch , this was very expensive- 20€ per person for meals which you would get for 5€ in any cheap Slovak restaurant. Big disappointment! I would not be sorry of 20€ if the choice was really up to the expectations of 4* hotel.
Location- hotel is located on the quite, green spa island in Piestany Access to different medical treatments , Asian massages , sauna, swimming pools and whirlpools Staff at the spa, restaurnat and cleaners were kind and helpful. Receptionists could be more cheerful and customer oriented.

BelgiumCheck in was slow and heavy - feels post-Communist. Restaurant closes early - limited snack meals available in noisy bar. Breakfast wasn't great. Fair to say we didn't use the spa which is the whole point of the hotel and so we maybe didn't see the best of what they have to offer.
Situation in nice park in spa island. Nice setting, easy to get to. Bed was comfortable, room very clean. Plenty of parking. Hotel is very spacious.

SlovakiaThe property is spacious, very clean and gives the calm that most of the visitors seek for when visiting a place as it is. The stuff is very nice, the food is AMAZING and even better the water and the procedures that are offered are worth to try.

PolandArriving Friday 9PM, the gentleman at the reception did not respond to our greetings and looked at as as intruders. When I said we had a reservation he literally rolled his eyes and made a face, then went back and brought another (lady) receptionist who proceeded with our booking without slightest trace of smile, friendliness or enthusiasm. The hotel is old and looks dirty from outside. Inside everything is very old and has old smell. The furniture in our (230 EUR/night!) room must've been from the 70's, the beds looked like taken from a student hostel. My matrasse had broken springs, that were poking me at night waking up! Everything else in the room, including bathroom looked like a 2* hotel (although it was fairly well cleaned). There must been no maintenance since decades and clearly the hotel management is not doing their job. The owners of the hotel appear to be the same private individuals that operate old hotels in other parts of eastern Europe without investing anything into modernisation Wellness closes at 9PM and we were told at the reception there is no room service... The hotel is marketed as luxury and beautiful establishment but in reality is a run down depressing outlet full of senior citizens, who probably come here at significant discount with health related issues, It was completely unclear from the hotel information at booking.com that this is in reality some kind of health institution and the standard reminds of public health services from the old socialist times. If you are not an older, health impaired person who needs balneology treatment and has massive discount on listed prices AVOID AT ANY COST.
Nice quiet surroundings. Food at breakfast was OK, although not exceptional.
