How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only down side is the shared bathroom in my option, I don't really feel comfortable showering in a unisex bathroom because the shower cabin is very small, but when I was there it wasn't too busy and it was very clean. Also the bed wasn't the most comfortable but it was ok!
The location is absolutely great, quiet but at the same time you reach the lake in 5 min walk. It's suuuuper clean and staff was friendly :)

The mattress on the top bed could be a little bit better :)
Location and free parking. Very friendly staff that showed us interesting spots and restaurants.

The floor can be a little bit cold, the floor is made out of tiles, hopefully the owner provides a radiator, just in case. The bed is quite large, it is two matresses together.
We stayed in the appartment, which is located out of the main guest house. It is a one room apartment very cozy and quiet. The apartment is located in the groundfloor and the windows are facing the other building, nevertheless if you need a place to stay only at night or you do not prioritize the views, Vila Lipa is a great place to stay. The free parking was a plus, because in Bled is very difficult to find parking spots. The personnel was really nice and open. Vila Lipa is very close from the lake and the boat renting (less than 10 minutes by walk)

The view of the balcony is breathtaking. Enjoying a breakfast there is wonderful. It is great to have a kitchen for budget travellers.

One could hear the other people in the building (wooden floors and stairs that crack), especially at night.
Super friendly and accommodating staff. The location is great. In the end, we upgraded our room to one with the terrace and the view of the garden.

Not so much light if you stay in the ground apartment.
The location is great. Close to the lake but in secluded area. The staff are very friendly. We stayed at separate apartment which is in ground floor. In summer is great because you don't need AC.

You cant use shower without getting your hair wet (problem if it is cold and you are sensitive person or have siinus problems). Doors are not well sound isolated.
Stay in Vila Lipa was pleasant. Staf was helpful with welcoming information about the lake and surrounding attractions. Other guests were also very kind. Apartment was warm because of efficient heating system. Near is a supermarket, as well as automatic machine for milk and meat products.

The matresses are quite thin and hard. It was fine for us, but don't expect big comfortable matresses when going there.
It's in a great location right next to the lake. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner is a really courteous and helpful person, thank you soo much for everything!!

There should be enough cleaning utilities in a kitchen. Only sponge was available for washing the dishes and cleaning surfaces including cooker.

Villa Lipa is excellent for staying in Bled especially if you don't want to spend too much, the rooms are well heated, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the beds are just a little hard but nothing that can't undermine your sleep.

Beds are a bit hard
We visited Vila Lipa in the offseason so we pretty much got the place to ourselves. Kitchen has everything you could need, heating worked well (although we had to turn it on in the kitchen and room), the manager Grega was great, polite, checked in on us during the staff and helped with our accomodation options. Bathrooms and entire villa was extremely clean as well which was very appreciated and it is extremely close to the lake - 5 min walk!

There's a kitchen with a living room that all guests of the house can make use of; there's a nice garden that you can look at while having your morning tea on your balcony; they offer flexibility about late check-in; the shared bathrooms were very clean
