A bit too cold in the room

Due to much people present at the hotell and passing by and not open in the restaurant one weekday, and a bit to little staff in the restaurant during the weekend it was pretty messy.

Clean, modern hotel in the center of Umea near the river but a bit overpriced. Great breakfast.

Rooms are old, damaged and used. Breakfast was really poor compared to other Scandic hotels in Sweden.

Evening buffet, 'kvällbuffet', food was not warm. Garage space was not offered, full ? Automatic front door should be operational during pandemic, now every guest must touch to door handles

Opening times of breakfast were extended due to WRC Rally event.

Room not super modern, specifically bathroom. But there is style. Not really any issue.

Cheerful and very helpful personnel. Travelled with family and needed 2 rooms. Appeared that set I ordered via booking.com was not possible on the same floor. But they have upgraded one of my rooms for free, so we could stay close to each other. This is very much appreciated. Overall all in order, modest and cozy. Superior view from the window towards the river and the bridges. First time we deliberately spent some time late night gazing on the surrounding lights and slow motion traffic. That was impressive.

A contact in the room is broken to a floor lamp. That is not a big deal. The bed contakt to adjust the bed were broken on one side. Small things and not a big deal.

Great location in the center of town and close to the river pathway. Clean and well-managed with a very friendly staff. Great breakfast as well, with lots of variety and non-dairy alternatives. Highly recommend this hotel!

The breakfast is top class.

Bad entertainment on tv. No news channel. No movie channel. No Netflix. Only Norway and Finland TV. No cleaning in 7 days. I had to ask for it. No fixing bed sheet in 7 days. The room is cold. I got extra element to keep my self warm. This hotel seems to go down.

The room temperature should be adjustable by the occupant, now it wasn´t, it reverted to preset temp which was coldish..

The receptionist is so nice and very helpful that when I missed my breakfast, she hand me over a spare breakfast package and made my day with a nice hospitality. Unfortunately I don't remember her name. Shout out to her helpful and professionalism.

Restaurant was closed in the summer! Old rooms with old furniture, poor beds and pillows. Parking was in public parking garage which was really narrow.

There is nothing that is complimentary. I arrived on a Sunday and the bar and the restaurant were closed. The restaurant would be closed again the following day. There was nothing offered to make up for it. Sweden is an expensive country, but when your facilities are operating at a substandard level (no matter the reason) something should be done to make up for it. The rooms have no hot water kettles nor coffee. I just felt nickeled and dimed for everything.

The common areas are very nice.

Due to an inadvertent mistake in choosing the reservation date (hotel reservation for the night before staying at the hotel٫19-20 July ), the hotel staff after one hour of negotiation and some emails request were not available to accept the passenger even to offer any discount! and I had to book another hotel for that date.20-21 July

The tv could have been placed right infornt of the bed, it was very hot in the room and bad air, hard to sleep. The vintilation system need a cleanup. Bad pillows

From our perspective we felt that some of the staff require more customer service training. We felt that the hotel restaurant was not efficient so we ate in another restaurant. The room was not as clean as usual. We’re regular visitors in this hotel so maybe it was just an unfortunate bad day as we have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions and loved it! Nonetheless it was a disappointing stay on this occasion☹️.
