Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only real downside was the location due to major construction works between the hotel and city meaning a confusing, dusty and unpleasant 5-10 minutes walk to the central area. When construction is complete it would be an ideal location with central train station and bus station close by. The room was quite small with not much space to hang clothes for a 4 day stay.
Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean. Twin room was clean and well equipped with great shower. Fabulous facilities with cafe, restaurant and bar, plus a wonderful roof top bar and restaurant. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Lovely Breakfast buffet and despite being busy we never had to queue or felt hurried. Would definitely stay here again.

FinlandCurrently, there is a somewhat construction area around the hotel, so the path around it looks a bit challenging, but it is a very minor thing, and despite that we would choose the same hotel next time because everything was just great inside.
We liked everything. The breakfast was very good with many options, the room was clean and we had everything we needed (except probably the hangers as there were just a few of them, but it was enough for 1 weekend stay). The staff was very nice and helpful. In terms of facilities, we especially liked the lobby area as we chilled there in the middle of the day, and the rooftop bar is a nice touch.

The hotel is very big, well located for my purpose, close to the bus and central station. Nice room, good curtains, everything ok. Excellent breakfast

DenmarkI was there for the half marathon and some personale did not even know it took place even I could see many people Stauning in the hotel Also was there for the same. So they did not know about how to travel to the Expo and to the event, which buses did not run at the day and so on.
It would be a benefit to have electrical ketles in the room.

United StatesLots of construction around the hotel makes the 15 minute walk into town a bit dusty, and unattractive.
Big hotel with a wonderful roof deck bar. Rooms are small, but have nice high ceilings. Breakfast was very good.

AustriaThe hotel also serves as a conference location and social evening events can create some noise -- das in my case when there was music long into the night. For me this was not really a big problem as the noise isolation was good enough to notice the music but still having no trouble to get to sleep.
This is a large hotel, newly built, everythings top notch standard (e.g., fast WLAN6). Breakfast is very good, du to the size of the hotel you have to book your slot -- I recommend to do this early as the slots can be filled fast depending on the booking situation.

France- For a long stay, the mattress was definitely too soft. - No desk, nor fridge in the room. I wish there was either a desk in the room, either a real calm working space somewhere in the hotel to be able to work/study in a quiet environment. Also, it would have been great to have a fridge.
The hotel is impressive, great infrastructure, very central (only 10 minutes from central station and shopping mall). Extra clean ! Room cleaning can be booked on demand. Service is awesome, I even had breakfast bag when I had to travel early. There is a great café,bar, and restaurant and very big lobby. A/C in rooms is very precise. Bathrooms are great within rooms and super clean in the lobby. Many tables in the lobby. Food is amazing in the restaurant and bar. Many elevators as well with no waiting time. Breakfast is also great ! Some variety would have been appreciated for long stays however. Last but not the least, the price was more than reasonable.

NetherlandsSome noisy younger guests you could hear in the hallway. The roads in front of the hotel were under construction, which you had to pass to walk there. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the room, but there is water in the lobby.
Comfortable beds, efficient bathroom and a good selection of foods at the breakfast. Even though the hotel was fully booked, it didn't feel crowded. Good soundproofing from outside noises. The rooftop restaurant had good food (tip: one dish per person is enough).

United KingdomThere are a lot of building works going on outside, these cannot be heard when you’re outside. This seems to be something that is city wide with building works going on.
Sleek finish, clean and well set out hotel. Has a lovely roof top restaurant, and the buffet breakfast is brilliant. Room has everything we needed.

DenmarkPity that on Saturday the breakfast starts only at 7am, which means we had to miss it has we have to leave early. Very crowded hotel, it’s big hotel which means it can get very busy with queues everywhere. Our room was facing the inside of the hotel, which means lack of light.
Excellent location, close to the main station and walking distance to most of viewing places. Very nice diverse breakfast. Rooms cozy and comfortable.

NorwayGlass cage, all this sun that enters the building from all directions is bad for your eyes and skin, so you do not want to be in the lobby. The stairs in front are begging for someone to break their neck either on the way up or on the way down. Construction site - I was almost run over by a bus, there was lots of honking, but there was no way to know where was the pedestrian area when you first arrive. You get used to it on the second day. The breakfast box was not suitable for vegans. It is included, you cannot wiggle out of it, so it is money and food out of the window basically.
Huge hotel, long hallways. The hotel is close to the train station like 5 minutes away. The staff has been very helpful from describing how to get there, to making breakfast available at 5 am. The room was quite ok, good lighting, also allowing some to be left on during the night for those who do not see in the dark, in ways that they dont shine in your eyes.
