Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

IcelandWe were surprised by the noise levels. Even on the fifth floor, the banging bass from what we assumed was an adjacent night club was very loud and vibrating the room. It turns out the noise is not from a nearby venue — it's the lobby bar of the hotel! Very strange that the hotel seemingly has control over the sound levels, but still creates that atmosphere for its guests until 2 a.m. or later. The opening hours of the on-site hotel were also odd, as it is closed Sunday through Tuesday. That meant to in-hotel food options once breakfast service was done. That would be fine if the front desk staff were knowledgeable about making nearby suggestions, but that also wasn't the case.
Hotel Kung Carl is situated in a beautiful old building — or rather a few old buildings connected by a bright atrium that houses a bar and tables where guests take breakfast. The period design touches are very nice and our room (a family room on the fifth floor) was comfortable and clean. All the staff were friendly. The breakfast was nice, with some limited vegan options. And the location, directly across from a shopping centre, is central and within reasonable walking distance to the main sites of Stockholm.

EcuadorLocation, location, location! Beautiful district full of trendy restaurants and high end shops. Walking distance to city center. The hotel has nice upbeat bar with music, that was always full at night, and a second quieter bar in the interior courtyard for hotel guests. Breakfast was plentiful and good, with service constantly replenishing food. The room was small but good enough for a long weekend.
