Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CyprusIt was impressively quiet in the bedroom! The kitchen is quite good for preparing food on your own. The location is perfect: it's very close to the bus stops so it's easy to get to any destination.

RussiaIn the heart of Serbia, among the busy streets of Belgrade, stood a hostel unlike any other. Its name was whispered along the alleys and on the lips of travelers everywhere - “Tranquil Oasis”. From the moment you entered its welcoming doors, you were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness. The walls were decorated with paintings of cabbages and different interpretations of the cabbage theme, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee danced in the air, mixing with the laughter of guests from all corners of the globe. The heart of the Serene Oasis was the public spaces. The cozy lounge, complete with cushions and bean bags, became a sanctuary for weary travelers to relax and share stories of their travels. Here, friendships were made through games and lively debates about the best local cuisine. The hostel kitchen was a melting pot of flavors where travelers exchanged recipes and cooking tips while preparing communal meals. From sizzling Serbian ćevapi to tales of exotic dishes celebrating the diversity of cultures under one roof. Of course, one cannot fail to note the culinary talent of the hostel employee, who prepared various dishes with cabbage and treated them to the guests. But perhaps the true magic of the Serene Oasis lies in its staff. They were not just employees, but custodians of the spirit of the hostel, making sure every guest felt at home from the moment they arrived. Whether offering helpful tips on the city's hidden gems or introducing each other to each other, they went above and beyond to make each guest's stay truly memorable. So, in the heart of Serbia, among the bustling streets of Belgrade, the Serene Oasis turned out to be more than just a hostel. It was a haven for adventurers, a refuge for wanderers and a beacon of hospitality that welcomed travelers from all corners of the globe with open arms. А теперь отзыв для русских 😁 Потрясающий хостел, моя рекомендация.

RussiaBunk beds squeak slightly. Other things are regular for such places eveyhour someone is departing or arriving just get earplugs which also offerd for free )))
The staff speaks several languages. Bed sheets, towels, floors and restrooms are crispy clean. In general, it feels that fresh renovation was done not so far ago. Dispensers contain aromatic soap with great smells. Everything in this hostel makes you comfortable at a new city from the first minutes

VietnamAmazing. I stayed at ~50 hostels in different countries. Cabbage Hostel is in among my top 3, at some parameters - top 1. They have rules that help prevent many problems/minuses of usual hostels.

ItalyProbably 2 bathroom for 3 shared rooms (first floor), were not enough. I had often to wait to get into the toilet. At least they were most of the time kinda clean. They were strict about wearing slippers inside the hostel. On one hand it helps to keep clean the rooms, on the other hand i dont think its very higienic to wear slippers used by other guests before. The hostel wasnt very central, but there are several bus stops around who takes you to the city center within 15 minutes
I was there for the weekend. The hostel is very clean, with huge common spaces (a rooftop, kitchen area, living room etc.), eventhough when we were there, there was almost anybody around. The staff was very helpful, Dima helped me to get back the phone i lost in the taxi with much effort, and he was very kind with it. I appreciated he blackout curtains as they allowed for more privacy and better quality sleep

RussiaThis place embraces you with its friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Personnel are ready not only to promptly respond to all your questions and requests, but to have a small (or not so small) talk with you that converts staff and guests into big cabbage family:)

Thailand- The staff is nice and helpful but not very friendly. - It's difficult to distinguish between guests and staff upon arrival. It might be better if the staff wore some kind of sign to help guests identify them. - There is a sign on the kitchen door about cleaning refrigerator, but not everyone reads it. As a result, someone's food was thrown away from the fridge. - They provide a box to collect your food at each bed. It would be better if guests could write their names on their food in the fridge as well. - The toilet on the first floor combines both a toilet and a shower. Sometimes it gets wet because someone is showering, but on the ground floor, they are separated.
The hostel is clean, and the rooms have enough space for your belongings. They provide large lockers for each person that you can lock with your own key. The staff is nice. During my stay, there were some activities, such as watching Eurovision together and some free dinners.

ArgentinaThe toilets are so close to the common areas and sometimes you can smell the disgusting and fresh smell of the first poops of the day. That toilets need some extractors.
Kind people behind the administration, always asking if you feel good. It was a sorprise that they have basic breakfast but enough to be free and for the price of the stay. The bilduing is huge with a play/work/rest room in the third floor. All very confortable.
