Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThe reception was closed before we arrived (6.30pm) but we were advised that our unit was unlocked. So, if someone else had entered and stolen anything before we arrived, who would be liable? We inadvertently occupied the wrong unit and, when the correct people arrived, the reception was unmanned. Fortunately, we got it sorted amongst ourselves. The TV had only 2 broadcast channels and the "smart" TV was glitchy and required personal accounts to access some channels. This wasn't made clear in the advertising. The heatpump external unit sounded like the spin cycle of a washing machine - all night.

Great central location. Free offstreet parking in safe area. Walk or short drive to all central interest areas, shopping, cafes, restaurants. Good size room. Great heatpump..we used during our stay. Love the free wifi & tv channel choices. Good kitchen facilities. Very comfortable bed & choice of pillows. We used bookme site to get discount for Christchurch Gondola..which orovided fab views but awful overpriced food..great coffee though I thought

AustraliaThe bedrooms did not have any power points left to plug in personal devices like mobile phone chargers etc. I did let the staff know about this and kindly accepted the feedback.
We had a comfortable stay - the 2 bedroom apartment was spacious enough and had all the required facilities. Check in was smooth and the staff were easy to deal with. On request they also provided electric heater for my parents' room.

New ZealandThe shower taps are not very user friendly and the sofa beds are quite creaky. The website provided incorrect information as to the number of beds provided which was not ideal but was kindly amended when discovered by the staff.
The staff were very accommodating and friendly and the location was quite accessible in regards to using public transport. The premises were comfortable and the amenities provided were of good quality.
