The room with windows directly to the parking. The hotel is located near the road. With king bed 2 separate tiny blankets - I guess would be for children enough not for adults.

The stuff was very attentive. Excellent healthy breakfast. King bed.

The town of Sandane was a bit boring. Not much to do.

Lovely historic hotel. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant - I had perhaps the best meal there of my entire trip to Norway! Comfortable lobby for sitting and people-watching. The room was a bit small for the price, but worth it for a chance to stay in the hotel. A great stop if you are traveling up the coast of Norway.

Nothing about the hotel. The location is nice for a short stay but we would only stay a couple of nights as their aren't many restaurants near other than the hotel and it's about a 55 minute drive to stryn kommune where we spent 3 days and stayed 1 night.

Hotel staff are great, bed and breakfast was delicious. Everything is homemade at breakfast and organic all the jams and nut butter ect and it was so nice. The best breakfast we had in Norway. Restaurant was delicious we ate their both nights (2) it is same menu though. So we would have had to find somewhere else to eat if we had stayed longer. Rooms are so pretty and the view was lovely, we could see the lake. We were in the modern part which we preffered. They had a coffee machine in the room and tea making facilities, which was great and a first for Norway. No other hotels we stayed in had this. We stayed 6 places over 10 days so got a good feel for deferent places and price points. This is good value for money.

Sound insulation between ground (level 1) and first floor (level 2) not so good - we were disturbed one night until 2am by a group in the restaurant

We were allocated a room with a disabled bathroom which flooded the whole floor from the shower. Not even a shower curtain to limit the spray. The breakfast was okay in part but the coffee machine wasn’t working on our second day there. The layout and poor lighting compromised the self serve breakfast area. Our bill seemed to include wine which we didn’t order and this is very expensive in Norway. Eventually they changed the bill.

The room size was good but the bathroom let them down. The breakfast was average . We could recharge the car overnight in the carpark.

We had a dog with us and the staff was kind enough to help us think about how we could enjoy breakfast and dinner without having to leave the dog alone. They really made the effort to make us feel comfortable. Best hotel we found in Norway!

The rooms are too hot in summer and don't have aircondition. Even with open windows it is difficult to sleep. They should adapt to the reality of climate change and install aircondition.

You could hear everything that the other rooms in your hallway were doing due to the ventilation system. It even amplified the sound. The shower was not very good.

The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. The old building is gorgeous.

We would recommend to provide a bath mat as the shower drain is too high and you flood the whole bathroom once you take a shower. Our room had the windows towards the dumpster and trash was thrown into them until midnight. A mini fridge would also have been a good addition to the room. There was only filtered coffee for breakfast.

The staff is friendly, our room was very clean and nicely furnished. The beds are super soft and comfy. Breakfast had a lot of homemade products and catered for every taste. Just 2min walk from the hotel is the lakefront and the village center. There are a lot of parking spaces and charging is also possible.
