Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt was outdated and needs new carpet in the rooms and some of the beds need replaced. It seems like it is overpriced but I am not familiar with hotel pricing in Amsterdam or Europe in general.
Staff was very kind and knowledgeable. They made up for the shortcomings of the hotel. Matthias and the lady at the front desk made our stay fabulous and smooth. They allowed us to store our luggage before and after check in/out. The lady (Laura?) had the room ready early upon our arrival. Also, the water pressure in the shower was incredible.

Location is excellent , just across the canal from Central Station where we arrived, and the Tram hub. Room was fairly basic but spotlessly clean, and the breakfasts were excellent.

BahrainWhile the hotel's high price tag was a drawback, I was disappointed by the outdated facilities, particularly the washroom, which was in need of renovation. On the other hand, the breakfast was exceptional, and the variety of dishes was impressive. However, the service was lacking, with one waiter being particularly unfriendly and condescending.
The location is excellent and very close to central train station and many tourist spots.

AustraliaVery quirky layout - narrow property with stairs and a lift but steep stairs from hallway door of room. Amsterdam accommodation is very expensive so, although this was the most expensive accommodation in four ountries and probably the least glamorous, it was good value.

Proximity to train station. Many eateries nearby . Very helpful front desk clerk, Carlo. There is an elevator and good breakfast included . It was a nice view over rooftops from our comfortable attic room . I have been here several times over the last two years and I am never disappointed.
