How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not much negative things to say. Very basic hotel.
It's an ok location, you have to walk a bit to the better metro for the center. The store downstairs is available 24/7 which is nice. The staff were nice at the bar.

The breakfast was exceptional as was the location. It was a quiet area but near the rail station and tram stop so it was really easy to get into the center of Amsterdam and the museums. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The room could have been cleaner. The sofa had stains on. The back of the door and wooden TV mount unit had finger / hand marks on. The underneath of the fridge had not been cleaned for some time - extremely dusty.
The location is great. Staff were very helpful but could have given a bit more information on check regarding ordering of room service etc. The onsite cafe was very expensive.

Do not eat dinner at the hotel. We couldn't get tap water - but the table beside us got it. We didn't get egg on the carbonara - but the table beside us got it. We had to wait more than half an hour to get a scoop of ice cream - they forgot us.
The breakfast was good. We like it when you can order sides, as omelette, as you want it. The hotel was near tramstation, which made it easy/fast to get into centrum.

Regarding the location there wasn't any sm or restaurants close. So if you haven't included breakfast you should wait until you arrive to the city center. There is a shop inside the hotel but is too expensive and with limited variety.
Nice and quiet location very close to the metro and tram station which transfer you to the city center. I especially suggest the tram. Airport is just 15 minutes away with the train from Rai Station.

I found the front desk understaffed, which caused us to delay a couple of times. Great service though.

My only complaint is that the room was far too warm at night to sleep. Even with the AC turned on & window open it was stuffy/ hot at night and when getting ready for the day.
It was close to the RAI tram & metro. Staff were courteous & kind. Great breakfast. Pretty clean overall, though the room showed minor signs of wear & tear. Nothing to complain about
Excellent hotel in a great location for the airport and getting into Amsterdam city by metro and tram . Spotlessly clean, quiet room, very comfortable and perfect for our 2 night stay. Very helpful and cheerful staff who were always on hand to provide information and gave the hotel a lovely welcoming ambiance and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend it to others. It was great to be able to leave our luggage there on the morning of checkout and collect later on our way to the airport. Thankyou so much for a wonderful service making our stay so enjoyable.

Hotel restaurant was simply awful in terms of food quality and taste. Burger it was dry and tough. Salmon salad - fresh smoked salmon slices on the bed of greens were ruined by loads of heavy Caesar-like dressing and artificially tasting croutons. The only edible thing I ate during my stay was a cheese plate.

Nothing to dislike
The hotel was lovely and modern. Bedrooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, the bathroom was equally spacious, and the shower was great. Good facilities with nice little touches, like a Nespresso coffee machine and Ritual products in the bathroom. Location was spot on, a 10 min walk to the nearest metro stop, a metro and train ride from the airport (20-25 mins), and a 15 min tram ride to Amsterdam Central
