Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt is located within a 15-minute walk from a train station (Lelylaan), a metro (Henk Sneerewitweg) and bike sharing (Donkey Rep and OV fiets). I used train, metro and the Donkey Rep bike. All went really well. I also went to Radion and biked back at night, less than 10 min and felt safe.

RomaniaThere was a lot of dust in the air conditioning and the sink was not very clean. WIFI has a captive portal, be careful if you want to connect to a company VPN through it, it might not work. The neighborhood is a bit shady.
Decent value for money, close to the train and tram station. Friendly staff

ItalyRoom was not clean enough. The tea cups were dirty, and after seeing the dirty mugs we started doubting that everything else will be dirty. Also there was no kettle in our room, which we dont know why.
The location of the hotel was not central, but it was in good neighborhood. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was cozy.

SwitzerlandIt seems for the same type of rooms, the space and structure can be very different. We were allocated with a room with super tiny washing room, which is completely different from the photo. After request, we were changed to another one, which is much better. Price is quite high, but it seems to be the standard in Amsterdam.

United KingdomThe evening diner did not meet my expectations in term of variety of food (same menu all nights, one time the desert pie was unfrozen) and its low attendance by the clients of the hotel, which makes it less profitable. It felt a bit lonely at time but I met nice people to talk to in the end. The cook and server during the week days was more competent and talented than those during the week end.
breakfast was good and bedroom was comfortable and quite. I like the bathroom shower too. The location was close to the tram and also to the metro, which makes travelling easy to town centre and other parts of Amsterdam.

Czech RepublicRoom was clean however the cleaning lady didn't fill in the soap tank during the whole stay. The bartender was weird - we wanted to have some coctails in the evening so I asked him for the menu. He said they don't have any menu and if I name any coctail he needs to figure out how to prepare it. Then he asked us to not ask him for any coctail. I guess he can serve only beer and shots :)
Location of the hotel is fine - there is a tram stop about 400m that gets you very easily to the city centre. Overall the hotel was ok for the money. I was a bit surprised how expensive hotels in Amsterdam are in comparison to other European cities (mainly German ones - Berlin, Frankfurt etc.). This one was ok in price but you need to pay for anything extra. Parking was for 25 eur, breakfast for 17 eur per person. Hotel restaurant offered "all you can eat" type of buffet dinner. At the end it is cheaper and you have decent selection of food but you cannot select from menu. Room was clean and fine. The bed was too soft for me.

UkraineHotel itself is not big as you can see on photos. I asked for the calm room (first in my message before arrival) as stayed with my aged parents. First we have got the one which only window comes directly to the gym! And this window was not possible to open. I was shocked as never seen such an option before. And it didn’t look comfortable at all! After my complain we receive a good room and were satisfied. I think this type of rooms should cost less so the client is read for less comfort. In this case it would be fare. I payed full amount for the standard room and don’t want to look at training people and don’t have a possibility to get a fresh air in my room.. One of the mattresses looked damaged so it was not comfortable enough to sleep. It would be good to better control your luggage room. There are no any stickers with the surname or so when you leave your bag on the reception. I think it would be not that difficult to put a surname to the bag and give another part to the client, so the person will be sure that no one else will suddenly take his bag.
Hotel has rather good location. It takes about 7 minutes walk to the tram stop and 10 minutes to subway. The way to the museums square takes about 10 minutes and it’s around 25 minutes to the central station. There are 2 supermarkets just nearby. The room was quite tight for 3 people but still acceptable. It was clean and in a good condition. The stuff was very friendly.

FranceThe breakfast is expensive so we did not take it at the hotel. A bakery and a coffee close to the centre works perfectly well.
The hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Amsterdam. It is located at ~10 minutes walk from the Tram 2 that brings you to the city centre, the central station and the main attractions like the Museums Square. The hotel was clean, the beds confortable and the room we had for three adults left enough space to walk around the beds. We even had a desk, a wardrove and a kettle with coffee and tea. The quality-price ration is very good The hotel is also close to a pizza delivery shop so after a tiring day visiting the city we just order pizza delivery. I will certainly come back to this hotel whenever I need to travel back to Amsterdam.
