Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Excellent location, quiet and peaceful. Easy access to 4 restaurants serving Italian, Indian and Chinese food across the road. Quick tram ride to Amsterdam. Single tram stop to Slotedjik train/Metro station. Big, clean family room. Friendly and helpful staff.

BelgiumThis hotel entirely met my expectations. I have no complaints.
The single room was quiet and very clean. The bathroom was modern and very functional. Wi-Fi performance was more than sufficient for streaming Netflix in HD. The breakfast buffet had all the choices one usually finds in a hotel breakfast, and was quite good. I also liked the M19 tram having a stop right outside the hotel that could take me to the city centre in minutes, and for cheap!

The room was great, had everything we needed. It was easy to find and the tram stop right outside is so helpful, we were able to go into the city everyday from there! Staff were super helpful and friendly. Self check in and out was fast and efficient. We had a really good stay and would definitely come back.

GermanyAlthough the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, I see this as a plus - the area is very quiet, and the public transportation is excellent. There's a tram stop right in front of the hotel, and a nearby train station offers regional trains that take you to the main railway station in just 10 minutes. Also, the room size was a pleasant surprise - it's rare to find a 22 m² room in Amsterdam!

Austriaalthough whole room made pretty clean impression (bathroom was really very clean) there was a lot of dust on the desk below windows and generally on the furtniture (also on coffee machine) and windows were most probably not cleaned since several month. but i must say - that i was promised by the reception immediatelly that somebody will come and clean the dust - though i am not sure that this has happened:-) may be it is also because this hotel ist not really new - as result it makes a kind of shabby impression also location is pretty far from city center however there is a tram right in front of the hotel which takes you to city center in ca. 20min, connection to the airport is also very good (1 station with same tram and than 2 stations with a train) - so overall the location is Ok

IndiaThe staff were not welcoming (excepting for one lady who was very sweet). This is also due to the fact that they were short staffed and stressed (seemed that way). Example: We left our luggage at the hotel & came at 5pm to collect them. There was only 1 lady at the counter serving 2 other guests who were asking her a zillion questions. I waited 15+mins for her to just open the room behind her and let me take my luggage & when I interrupted and requested (as we were running late), she just said: "have some patience". I let it go cos I saw she was single handedly taking all the load but that was a very very low bar when it came to hospitality esp after i waited 20mins compared to them not wanting to wait for more than 2mins when I deposited my luggage (again the staff lady said: sir this is not a changing room, make it fast, when I left my luggage and was looking for something to take from my bag earlier that morning)
The rooms were brilliant amongst the lot we stayed in across europe and the breakfast was a fantastic spread. Wish we could spend more time at the hotel the next time around

SpainLighting!!!! There is no reading light at all, and the bathroom lighting is dismal. The tiny lamps from above illuminate the floor but not your face., so make up or shaving is a challenge.
Loved the location near the park and the tram. Great breakfast.
